9/10I celebrated my 20th Wedding anniversary at Colonal Saab over the weekend. The ambience, service and food were all exceptional. We started with cocktails which were just perfect. The dining room is grand and filled with lots of little details. Sagar who was serving us was very he made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We was well versed with the menu and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely reccomend and look forward to returning again soon.

10/10Celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan at the restaurant. Probably ate at this restaurant about a dozen times and it never disappoints. The owner and the staff are always very pleasant. Food is just wow. From the starter to the dessert, flavours are so varied. You have to try the Dahi sev puri and the yummy rasmalai cake

6.5/10We have been as a family a few times in the last 4 weeks to give the restaraunt another try after a disappointing start. They are not receptive to anyone using discounts such as Fork. Service was eratic and the first time no main meal arrived for over 45 minutes and little effort was made to redeem this , although we pointed out all the tables served after we had arrived had eaten all their courses and were leaving while we were still waiting. Having returned - the starters - chaat too sweet with too much tamarind. All 3 dishes had same taste. Upon bookings with Fork the restaurant insist for each booking one main and one starter/ desert is ordered per person. My 13 year old only liked the starters ( the lamb chops priced at £35 for 3 small chops. The restaurant were adamant she had to have a main meal as well and when we said she did not like any dishes we were forced to order another dish. There was a constant push for alcohol for their pockets and we had to take food home.

Located at the former Holborn Town Hall in the heart of Central London, Colonel Saab is a modern Indian restaurant from Roop Partap Choudhary, offering a smart Indian fine dining experience. The restaurant is inspired by the travel tales of Roop's father, an Indian Army officer Col. Manbeer Choudhary and his wife Mrs. Binny Choudhary across the Indian subcontinent, created by Roop as a “love letter” to his family, as well as homage to India.
