We have been to this restaurant many times and always been satisfied, but tonight the meal was not as good as usual. The asparagus was chewy and had to go back to the kitchen and the pork loin came as a steak rather than soft disks of loin. we'll try it again but with reservations.

We were made to feel very welcome when we arrived. Given a nice glass of Madeiran sweet wine while looking at the menu. The menu was easy to read and not too many choices. I went for the Concha to start along with the bolo de caco. The Concha was delicious and will try my hand at the bread at home. My wife had the garlic prawns, which were delicious. Dana (my wife) had the Black Scabbard fillet with prawns and a seafood sauce and loved it. I had the peppercorn steak with chips and finished the lot. Excellent meat and well cooked. Was give great advice on the wines and enjoyed those we chose. The waiter, whose name I sadly can't remember was fantastic throughout and made sure our glasses never reached empty! For the dessert we shared a delicious panacotta. Were then given another sweet wine to finish off. The bill was very reasonable, considering the quality of food and service. Will be going back on Saturday to listen to Mary & Eduardo perform. looking forward to it immensely. Thanks

Food is very tasty, especially the garlic prawns starter with bolo de caco to mop up the juices with. Steak on the stone is excellent too. Owners are very friendly and attentive and staff are efficient and lovely. Food is good value, especially with the discount.

Come Together was recommended by friends for both food and entertainment. We were very disappointed that there was no singing and no indication that it was cancelled. Although we appreciate that this was beyond their control some communication would have been appreciated.

Best restaurant in Funchal by any measure. We have tried many of the restaurants over the past month and keep returning to the Come Together. Fabulous food, great presentation and service. Outshines most others. We look forward to our next trip to Funchal and to this restaurant. Very highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.

Mary and Eduardo made us most welcome. We had a complimentary glass of Madeira wine when we arrived, and another after our lunchtime meal. 2 of us had "steak on the stone" and our 3rd member of our party had pork loin with a mustard sauce. All came with a choice of vegetables or salad and a choice of potatoes. Our whole dining experience was lovely. The food was delicious and we appreciated the generous portions.

I was solo but staff was friendly & made time to check on me frequently. Food was great, especially the Panna Cotta. Complimentary Madeira wine before and after meal was appreciated too. Definitely a return to spot!

Our second visit to Come Together and once again I could not fault anything about our experience. We had the Chateaubriand which was cooked to perfection, the waiter sliced the meat for us at the table which was lovely. The accompanied vegetables were divine. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Thank you all at Come Together. Looking forward to more visits. Sean

We have been to this restaurant several times. I'm sorry to say that this time we left disappointed. On a Saturday evening, it was clear that the staff was overwhelmed by the large number of customers, with only two waiters handling the service. While the service is usually impeccable, this time we waited half an hour with an unopened bottle of wine next to us and never received the water we ordered. The food, as always, was very good, and the atmosphere was pleasant.

This was our second visit. This time it was much busier than last time. We both sampled different things from the menu and each one was very good. We were immediately recognised by the waiter and the owner and made to feel at home. We ate early in the evening and so we didn’t hear the musical duo, but nevertheless we had an enjoyable evening. We shall definitely go back on our next visit to Madeira in November.

Food was ok, vegetables greasy, potatoes tasted awful not sure what they are cooked in. Beginning to think Fork reviews really aren’t reliable. Try to be objective but not sure how many of these reviews are?

Hello, thanks for your feedback. We would also like to point out a few things for anyone reading your comment. Ever since you sat down, we knew we were not going to please as you were constantly changing your mind. The potatoes we served you were sautéed potatoes with bacon to give flavour. You criticise the reliability of the reviews posted here on the fork, but having gained the Trip Advisor’s traveller’s choice award twice and having 9.4 rating on the fork with thousands of comments maybe your review is the unreliable one. I would also like to point out that you were quite unpleasant to our staff, you changed your mind about the salad you wanted after we started on your salad making us waste perfectly good food, you poured your madeira wine into your red wine and eat your salad with your tea spoon from your coffee, and top it off, you hated our food so much you asked the rest of your salad to be boxed and to take home. Maybe you are the unreliable reviewer here Regards

Everything was excellent. The food was delicious, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere dreamy. The live music was a big plus. Congratulations to the chef and the entire staff! We will definitely come back.
