One of my favorite Paris establishments and THE place to go to try foie gras--their house recipes are delicious and they have a great variety from mi cuit to carpaccio to ravioli. Snails are good and at a good price. Wines are fantastic! Great service with friendly, multi-lingual staff.

Very good onion soup, nice bread. The 'very big' snails were a bit small and slightly underwhelming. I really enjoyed my foie gras poêlé. Waiters were friendly. Definitely one of the better midrange restaurants in Paris. I would recommend it to others.

It's easy in this case - simply the best! It wasn't our first visit so it was not a surprise for us. It's one of these places where you feel like home and time passes by too quickly. At the end of the visit yo are full, happy and not broken!

Staffs are all friendly, speak english well, arranging windows seats for us cause we brought a 8-month baby. Food is amazing, foie gras and ravioli are really fantastic. Local people sit next table recommend it. We really enjoyed it.

Good food at reasonable prices (especially for Paris) in a modern, nice setting. Recommended.

Fat! Okay, I signed up for fatty food when I ordered foie gras, and it was like butter. I couldn't finish a whole slice because it was too rich. My cassoulet was full of fatty sausage and soft, fatty duck confit. The cassoulet was also too salty. Not a vegetable to be found; even the soup that was a vegetable bouillon barely had three cubes of carrot. I like a bit of foie gras, but this meal was too much for me. There are other, better balanced choices in the neighborhood.

I used to love Comptoir de la Gastronomie for the delicious and large portions of duck-related dishes and the indulgent desserts. Over the years the portions have gotten smaller and the prices have gone up. The entrees and main courses are still reasonable value for money, and the foie gras and duck are tasty and well-cooked as always. The desserts are far too expensive now - 10 euros for a normal tasting, small tart or pastry. Service also seems to have gotten quite slow the last few times I have been there. It is often crowded and I think they need an additional server or we experience 20-30 minute waits between courses and to order dessert.

The fois gray was large and especially outstanding. The waiter was lovely, able to speak enough English and recommended a nice bottle of affordable wine. Had a 7:30 reservation and we where seated immediate with choice of inside or outside under a heat lamp. Took outside and it was perfect. Dinner for 2 with 2 starters, 2 mains, bottle of wine, split 1 dessert and 2 espresso € 107 complete. So good. Would definitely go there again . Wonderful first night in Paris!

Ravioli with foie gras and truffle sauce was excellent. The duck breast and shepher pie were okay, but nothing exceptional. Very nice locale and service with friendly staff.
