6/10Average. Not sure because of the The Fork 25% off, but the uramaki were tiny. Anyway disappointing. Nigiri a bit better but nothing memorable. I also got a ceviche, which was decent but the red shrimp on top was smelly.

5.5/10Considering that the sushi is served "a la carte", and considering the cost, I would have expected a higher quality and variety of food, as well as service of better level. Not a bad place, but the experience is at the level of a high end "all you can eat", with the exception of the cost.

8/10Correct food, although the wakame salad was too smothered in sauce, making it damp and unpleasant to eat. The Chirashi was pretty good, with fresh fish and mango/avocado for extra freshness. Portions a bit on the small side for the price but, after considering the discount attached to the Fork, it all works out just fine.

Progettato da prestigiosi architetti milanesi in collaborazione con un team di giovani designer cinesi, Conch è un ristorante di cucina giapponese dal volto moderno e metropolitano. Nessuna filosofia orientale si cela dietro il nome. Le conchiglie sono la passione del titolare che dice: “visto che serviamo tanti piatti a base di pesce ho pensato di battezzare così il ristorante”. La sala principale del ristorante è decorata con un'elegante tappezzeria color oro e innovativi rivestimenti in legno. In menù, si trovano originali combinazioni, come l'hako sushi, tipico di Osaka, ovvero bocconcini di riso e pesce a cubetto. La specialità della casa è poi l'uramaki butterfly, con gamberi in tempura, anguilla croccante e avocado, servito con una ludica mise en place a forma di farfalla. Scenografico il vulcan roll a base di branzino, servito su un vassoio di ardesia e con fragranti fili di patata e tobikko rosso a simulare la colata lavica. Mentre il “piatto firma” è l'uramaki Conch, con salmone e anguilla. Da provare anche lo sfizioso ebi fry, morbido-croccante finger food di gambero fritto da intingere nella salsa dolce-piccante. L'involtino di mango, soffice e leggero cannolo di frutta ripieno di riso e formaggio cremoso. Le “perle”, polpettine di riso con cuore di uovo di quaglia. I nuggets di tonno in crosta di pistacchio da insaporire con panna acida all'aneto. E ancora gli udon saltati con pesto e gamberi, gustoso incontro italo-asiatico. Piccola ma ben curata è la selezione dei vini, potendo scegliere tra validi bianchi altoatesini, friulani e siciliani, bollicine Franciacorta e Champagne delle più note etichette.
