Where to begin! I will make this short and sweet for all the readers. We opted for the 6 course pre-fixe and the wine pairing for each course. The pricing was more than adequate for such incredible cuisine, ambiance and staff. I won't go into detail on each course, but each dish was exquisite, the wine paring was a marriage made in heaven and the service was second to none! Bravo!! It was my girlfriend's birthday, and they made it very special. we recevied a couple of courses for dessert and even a gift from the pastry team upon departure. Chef, Alan (I hope I spelled that right, who I believe was one of the sommeliers), the other sommelier, our server.. literally everyone was so attentive and professional. Thank you all SO much for such a memorable evening. what a team of true luxury hospitality professionals!

This restaurant was way too busy: completely taken over by tourists. It was crowded and noisy, so much so you could not hear the introduction for each dish. The quality of the food is sub-bar for a Michelin restaurant, the taste was bland and sometimes overly sour. Overall I was shocked by how busy the waiters were that night: they were almost running and kept bringing out dishes after dishes from the basement kitchen. They have turned this eatery into a highly proficient standardized operation. We paid eu$365 that night. Y booking into this restaurant was meant to be a treat for an old friend. Definitely not worth it given the food quality, ambience and high price range. I would not recommend this one star Michelin restaurant to anyone.

We had a very nice meal at Contraste and I really have to compliment the service staff who were very accommodating. The restaurant has a set menu of 8 courses and diners can choose how many of these courses they want to order. They also offer wine pairing in addition to the selections on the wine list. We ordered the 8-course menu with the wine pairing. You don't know what you are getting until the plate hits the table. There is no written or verbal description of the menu prior to getting your food. Some dishes were more successful than others, but everything was extremely well crafted and you could definitely see the effort put into the food. There are some very well-trained people working in the kitchen. Our only issue with our meal was with the pigeon breast which we did not like. Even without us bringing this to waiter's attention, he was at the table asking us if we had an issue with the dish and he offered to have the chef replace the dish with something else. (This was an example of superb service.) Overall, it's an interesting place with some very creative chefs.

The restaurant is lovely and charming. The set menu didn't live up to the E250 per person price point; for example, two of the courses repeated similar ingredients and similar appearance. The meat course was pheasant in pastry.... we would have expected that in a country inn, but not a one Michelin star restaurant. The sommelier was delightful.... absolutely lovely. However, we were surprised when he asked if we "wanted our wine glasses changed". There was no sense at all that it was New Year's Eve - no decorations, no sense of excited. The restaurant was absolutely empty by 11.30pm which we found very odd.

Service was speedy and courteous for a couple with 1 Celiac Intolerant guest. Had to ask for a second knife and butter for Gluten protection. One dish came with Gluten touching non-gluten piece on plate. Food presentation was wonderful, but seating comfort and taste quality was not up to par for a Michelin Star restaurant.
