Kenden dit restaurant nog als Seinpost. Misten wel de amuses, de champagne kar en ook de bediening was minder speciaal dan we waren gewend. Eten was lekker, maar dus minder speciaal.

Wonderful food, good service, and off course the wonderful view of the sea.
The 6 course suprise menu offers very good value for money.
We went with a Japanese guest who much appreciated the european style cooking mixed with the Japanse idea of many small dishes.
Tips for improvement: please boost the pre-heating of the espresso cups.

We chose the 6 surprise dish option. The favourite dish was the Lobster bisque. The location is excellent and we comprehend the concept. If anything, it was a busy evening and as there were more customers, service markedly slowed down. From the second dish to the third was particularly long wait. We wish that they retain their Michelin star status.

The food is really good and nicely prepared, even the deserts were an excellent experience (and we are quite demanding with that respect). The wine card is quite exhaustive and the prices are really reasonable (we ordered for instance a very good Savennieres of 2010 for 55,00 €). The view is wonderful and, as the weather was quite nice, we could benefit from a beautiful sunset. The decoration inside the restaurant could be improved, there are for instance paintings that do not match at all with each other. The tables are large enough and there is a lot of room between tables: this is perfect. The staff is nice but the service pace was a bit slow (we had to wait for about 35 minutes before we could just order our meals). Altogether, a very good experience.

Excellent food and service and good value. Wonderful sunset views and great attention to details as they adjust the lighting according to the changing light outside. Very good 6 course sampling menu accompanied by well chosen wines. Not too large so a nice intimate venue as well. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was very well composed not just in terms of flavour but also texture and creativity without being overly fanciful. Highly recommend and hope we can go back! Easy to get to from The Hague as the number 1 tram to Schevenigen stops just 100m from the restaurant door.

The food was really amazing we had the 6 choice menu and several specialities were served and the portions are well judged. No amusebouche or sorbet served between dishes. Service is informal, the view over the beach at sunset was stunning. However several of the statues in the restaurant looked quite odd, the ethnic choices quite out of place. Overall the experience was excellent.

After several years we went back to what we knew as Seinpost but is now called Cottontree mer by Gert-Jan. It is a big and great surprise. Very tasty and good and not expensive at all for the quality and originality. Probably the best place in Scheveningen and The Hague to dine and the service was very good and pleasant. We will come back (hopefully many times)
