Excepcional atendimento

We went to Cozinha Velha for their Christmas Eve dinner. The setting, ambience, service and food were all very good. And given the Covid situation, all the tables were nicely distanced from one another. The most amazing part was the dessert. They rolled a cart of six different desserts over to the table and we could take whatever we wanted and as much as we wanted. And if that wasn't enough, then we got a plate of Traditional Portuguese Christmas treats. I would definitely venture back to try their regular menu.

food is regular but too expensive for the quality. service is basic and not friendly. Short wine list with common wines bust costing the triple of the wine shop (I’d say the double is the maximum acceptable for a restaurant

Amazing location by the old kitchen of the palace. Quiet atmosphere, beautiful decoration and very kind staff. Food is well presented an delicious.

This restaurant was an excellent find. The quality & presentation of the food was very good indeed, as was the choice. Beautiful setting as part of the old palace. The concierge was welcoming & friendly, nothing was too much. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We dined at Cozinha Velha on the first night of our honeymoon 20 years ago, and just returned to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. The experience was fabulous! The staff was friendly and attentive, the dining room is beautiful and historic, and every course was delicious. We look forward to returning again one day!

Eterno clássico!

Excellent food, but service was a problem because the restaurant was understaffed. I think a 400-500 percent markup on wine is excessive. The standard in Canada is 300 percent.

Excellent good and ambience

Beautiful restaurant. I had dined there more than 10 years ago and it felt like the first time. Food and service are great. Will go back again when I return to Portugal.

The atmosphere and service was wonderful. The food was disappointing as the duck was overcooked and the steak sauce was extremely salty. Perhaps due to it being a holiday the food was not on point

Located in a wing of the royal palace this restauant has a very impressive historic setting and polite service.
