What an absolute little gem this place is. From start to finish our experience here was wonderful . Food was incredible and they catered for myself being Celiac and having a dairy allergy fantastically, guiding me through what I couldn’t have and altering meals so that I could have three courses with no worries at all. Not making me feel awkward which is rarity when dining out! The pairing of wines to go with the food was a lovely touch. There was a violinist who was incredible and set the atmosphere. Staff were all very attentive and friendly. Would definitely highly recommend this lovely restaurant you wont be disappointed.

It’s been some time since we visited this restaurant, the room itself is nicely decorated and the size of the restaurant was larger than I remember, the concept menu was offered, which included wine with each serving, the white wine was ok, not cold enough in my opinion, main course, of lamb shank, was a bit tasteless, however the dessert was very pleasant, not so sure I’d re visit or would rate this restaurant as highly as once did, the food needs lifting to a better taste standard.

Although a bit quiet when we arrived, the restaurant soon became busier and created an excellent atmosphere. We went for the Concept Menu and the pairing was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. My steak was cooked exactly as I requested and the taste was fantastic. My wife had the Duck Confit and I was lucky enough to get a wee bite. Melted in my mouth. The wine chosen for the starter was a white which went really well with my scallop risotto and my wife kataifi pastry prawns. The red was also excellent and went so well with the duck and the fillet of beef. The deconstructed cheesecake was delightful and light. This was definitely the best food we had while in madeira and would go again and again. Thanks for a fantastic evening!!

We love the setting and decor. But of course it is all about the food. Everything was so good. And the staff are lovely. We had the tuna tartare and the hunter bird trilogy to start then the octopus and the sea bass. All done to perfection
