10/10A lovely restaurant! The staff were friendly and welcoming and the speed of service was just right, not too fast and not too slow, but always on hand to help. Each course of food was interesting, local and tasty and the recommendations on which wines to have with our meal were just perfect. The restaurants location is quiet with great views across the lake and perfectly catches the sunset. Definitely not to be missed ????

10/10A short drive off the main lakeshore, but well worth it. We have tried at least 30 restaurants over 4 years on Lake Como... and the food, the service, and the view at this place are as good as any you will find here.

About this restaurant
Nasce col nome “crott del Balin”, punto di ristoro per chi frequentava il Sentiero del Viandante e ritrovo della domenica per i bellanesi che passavano il pomeriggio in compagnia, ognuno davanti alla sua “tazza” di nostranel e a qualche fetta di salame. All'inizio degli anni '60 la gestione passa alla famiglia Denti. Mauro detto Maurin amplia i locali e con la moglie Margherita apre il crotto di Biosio. Merende a base di salame nostrano e formaggi della vicina Valsassina, agoni cucinati in tutti i modi e pollo nostrano con funghi raccolti nei boschi intorno a Biosio diventano il biglietto da visita del crotto, che alla domenica si affolla di visitatori della zona ed anche provenienti dalla vicina Brianza.
