First time I've been for years - always used to meet my sister a the Crusting.......we live miles apart and it's a good place to eat. I loved the food and wine consumed before our matinee BUT the service was very slow. We had to catch a waitress to ask to order. Busy ....yes, but there was no apology. We were going to have coffee after, but ran out of time....paid the bill quick and left. Yes, I'd return BUT the service needs to improve.

We were here 7 yrs ago and found it well worth the money. So it was a bit disapointing this time, not worth the money at all. Sorry but we are not coming back.

Four of us went to the Crusting Pie for a Sunday roast. The meat were more than well done, more like eating cardboard, and the Yorkshire Pudding was a hard lump of dough. I have not had any worst Sunday roast ever.

Dear Lydia, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am very sorry to read that your experience with us did not meet our usual standards. I would also like to assure you that we take the quality of our food very seriously and will be taking steps to ensure that this does not happen again and I hope you will give us another chance in the future. Kind regards, Dorota Assistant Manager

Went there over 35 years ago can’t believe that. Had afternoon tea such exceptional value with glass of champagne. Just loved especially with talented singers and musicians.

We booked a table at this restaurant to have a drink before dinner. We were greeted by one of the waiters, a lady, who was polite and helpful but quite disengaged; another waiter, a man, did try straightaway to sell a bottle of some expensive wine (Brunello and Amarone were mentioned) which I found quite annoying, but to be honest this is touristy location and unfortunately I was not overly surprised. We ended up picking a bottle of a wine of our choice and some nibbles. Another young waiter came to serve us who was really nice. Overall it was an okay experience which I can’t really recommend or not recommend: I guess it is what it is.

The Crusting Pipe never ever disappoints. Staff, service, food, wine, patience with my 16-month old grandson, all as always were again on top form. Thank you, team. See you soon. You make Sunday afternoons a complete joy.

We returned to the Crusting Pipe as we had such a lovely meal there last time. We were not disappointed but glad we booked in advance as they sometimes get very busy.

What a lovely location and some friendly helpful staff, badly let down by unfriendly unhelpful and rude staff, who ended up serving us unfortunately. As regular visitors to the CP disappointed we won't be going back.

This is a must-visit restaurant and wine bar right in the epicentre of Covent Garden. I always choose to be seated inside as the ambience and atmosphere are wonderful: the low cellar ceilings, relaxing light levels, multi-types of seating possibilities (from groups to intimate two-person tables and comfy chairs) and of course the impressive display of wines. The team are extra friendly and ready to accommodate any special requirements. Great food too - and it's tasty not pretentious!

They did not have the beer on the menu I wanted, they didn’t have the starter advertised, and the coffee machine was broken. Otherwise all good. Then they wanted to charge 12.5 per cent service!

We had an afternoon tea for 5 of us, when our group went from 4 to 5 they were very accommodating and quick to sort via email. Their afternoon tea was good, however the scones were a little drier than I'm used to. They were very busy so service was a little slow (understandable) and one was a little frazzled but all were polite. I'd definitely come again as we missed out on getting the cheese plate, because there was more than enough sandwiches and cakes to go around!

Was lovely lunch, location great service great. Just one small pointer. We were sat by staff members cleaning / sorting cutlery. They were noisy! But otherwise would recommend.

The staff were very welcoming and cheerful. They were always within easy reach without ever feeling like they were just waiting around doing nothing. Food itself was very fresh (no soggy vegetables here!). The wine bar itself was just such an interesting place. It felt very historic and interesting without feeling dated or out of touch. I will definitely be eating here again!
