Excellent
Grande Marco
Very cozy restaurant. The food was very good but there could be some slight improvement. For example, the carpaccio meat had some parts that were difficult to chew. But in general I would recommend going there.
Un piccolo ristorante Che ha tutto ecezionale. Cominciando con GLI antipasti e finendo con I dolci. Tutto squisito. La disponibilità e la gentilezza del cameriere poi l'incontro con IL CHEF This little restaurant was a great find. Everything was great starting with the starters and ending with the dessert. The kindness of the waiter and mastery of the chef did everything excellent.
Il top in Umbria.
Sublime!!!!!!
We seldom go to the same restaurant twice while traveling—there are so many to try, we hate to limit ourselves. But this small restaurant with 2 gifted chefs was well worth a return visit in Foligno. We repeated one dish (the melt-in-the-mouth lonzino) but tried a different pasta and the petto d’anatra that had been absent on our first evening. Our waiter was predictably gracious and warm, and he and one of the chefs helped us pick out a special wine that made the dinner even more memorable. If you’re in Foligno, don’t miss this gem near Piazza Garibaldi.
We were early by Italian standards, so had the dining room to ourselves. But the food and the service were both beyond expectations. Our waiter went to great lengths to help us understand the offerings, despite our poor language skills, and everything that came from the kitchen was superb. We had a primo of Umbricetti (a local pasta, handmade) with truffles, ricotta, sausage, and Trevi black celery, followed by two versions of roast pork. Both of those were fork tender and accompanied by a variety of vegetables, including a caponata with the aforementioned celery. We hope to visit again soon to try the duck breast which was out of stock this night, and we are confident we’ll have another memorable meal.
Una bella sorpresa!
Alta cucina
It was a pleasure to eat at cuore piccante. Everything was special, the food was simply unique, those flavors that you taste just in some places and you fall in love with. The guys were nice too.
Every week we try to take our Sunday lunch at a (different) restaurant in Umbria. Today we discovered a true little treasure: Cuore Piccante in Foligno. They have a really original menu (meat, fish and vegetarian); the food is absolutely delicious and not necessarily what one comes to expect in the region. Last but not least, the staff is very helpful and kind. The osteria is a little bit outside the beaten track in Foligno but strongly recommend to try it. They have about 9 tables hence also recommend reserving in advance to avoid any disappointment; we will definitely visit the Cuore Piccante again.
Locale caldo e accogliente...proprietario gentile....e la cosa più importante si mangia veramente bene...
Really good dishes, creative and made with local products according to season. Service caring and quick. We had a very good lunch. Really suggested!!!
cucina raffinata e personale preparato
Lovely meal with great interest in our satisfaction from chef Stefano and his staff.
