About the restaurant DaPrata 52

Very cool place. Small and friendly. The staff actually sat down with us to explain the dishes and then explained again after we'd ordered to ensure we thought we would like what we'd ordered. They even checked for any allergies. Food was perfectly cooked. Tapas with Portuguese and modern twists. Deserts did not disappoint either. As delicious as the main courses. Thank you for a really brilliant meal.

Good food, mixed tapas. Technically solid, not too flashy. A tad expensive but cooked well. Small portions as promised.

The food was great and the service was the best what we have experienced in lisbon. Explained everything and was very flexible. Also the recommendations given concerning wine and food were spot on. Will come back for sure.

What a find! The food is delicious - lots of choice, and each dish was delicious. The local wines were excellent, and reflected the care taken to ensure a memorial Portuguese experience. Very friendly and knowledgeable service too. But you must book because there are not many tables - even on a Monday night, we saw several people turned away - should have booked through The Fork, eh?

Tapas are good or very good and original.
Cod with risotto less. Cod otherway very good. Mushrooms also. Vegetables with hazelnut disappointing.
White wine by the glass can be better.
But you will have a pleasant evening

We were recommended to come here by another local restaurant who were unable to take our booking and we couldn't have been happier! Don't be put off by the sparse decor and formica tables - the food is excellent - we had a whole selection of delicious tapas accompanied by Portuguese wines all suggested by a very knowledgable waiter with excellent English.

After having read outstanding reviews, I decided to go to this restaurant with my girlfriend. Let’s start with the first dish: an average codfish “à bras”, but we liked the olive pâté on the top. The second and third tapas were two dishes with prawns: the delusion began here. After having tasted prawns in a lot of other Portuguese and Italian restaurants (and having also purchased them at the special Cascais fish market for 16 €/kg). we easily noticed that these were totally not fresh (the head was disgusting) and not properly cleaned( the intestine needs to be taken out). But the worst experience was a really simple dish: spicy fried chicken; while having it, we felt it fatty and dampish. After a while we had the honour to see, through the kitchen’s window that the “chef” was pouring in the oil the dish we just had from a supermarket pre-made frozen nuggets bag. Terrible experience. A fast food would have been better, at least they are honest about the origin of their food.
