Amazingly fantastic! Each dish was painstakingly prepared with exquisite attention to the tiniest details!! The combination of flavors was a gastronomic explosion of delight! The freshness and quality of ingredients were amazing!

If only there were more restaurants like De Dis we could all be very much happier and satisfied when eating out. The only criterion here is the customers enjoyment, this is shown in the presentation and prepearation of each dish along with the wine paring and service.

DE DIS is a really good restaurant ! the food was very good and they even made a whole menu Vegan for me ! everybody enjoyed it and the staff was super nice also ! i would definitely recommend

The soup and the desert were very good. To my taste the other courses were a bit un-seasoned and cold. Very attentive and discreet service in a comfortable atmosphere.

Beautiful little gem in the heart of Scheveningen. We went for a celebratory dinner and opted for the 6-course surprise menu with wine accompaniments. Kiki, the Maitre d', was instantly welcoming, very knowledgeable about the dishes and wines and has a great sense of humour. De Dis is High Class Dining in a comfortable atmosphere. The dishes are surprising, delicious and beautifully presented. The ingredients are varied, fresh and treated amazingly well. The chef/owner brought some of the dishes out himself and took the time to describe them with obvious and well-deserved pride in his craft. The wines were all delicious and generously poured - we were not left wanting on any count! The dessert - work of art with so many touches of genius, it is difficult to do it justice in this review. Before we knew it, we'd been at our table for about five hours - we never felt rushed, nor did the evening drag, it was a very special time in very cosy surroundings with the nicest people. We will definitely be returning for our next celebration... or just because...

What an excellent place. With a couple of friends we truly enjoyed the food, service and ambiance. Why don't I give the food a 10? We ate here twice in a month and as far as I can remember the excellent surprise menu was the same. So the second time, wonderful still, but not a surprise.

We ate here with friends on March 29, 2013. It was our first time at De Dis, which is not much bigger than the the average size living room. Consequently the tables are very close together. It was full the evening we were there. The first thing I want to say is that generally speaking the food was excellent. I had the lobster soup and sea bass (poon was not available that evening). My wife had the coquilles and sea bass and was equally complimentary.My only reservation food wise is with the bread that was served. It was advertised as boerenbrood, but lacked any taste and in our case had not been in the oven long enough. The service, however, left a lot to desire. While we were out for the evening, three and a half hours to serve three courses is overly long, especially the more than an hour we had to wait between our first and main course. I don't know whether this was a waitress or kitchen problem, but suspect the latter. Perhaps we were just unlucky that evening, but would have to think twice about going again despite the quality of the food.
