10/10The food was delicious and served beautifully, the service was spotless! The host was super friendly and fun. We felt very welcome and enjoyed the atmosphere of a real family restaurant which people run for pleasure. Great selection for a fish and seafood lover, accompanied by the homemade sauces to die for. Also a good wine card. We had great time and would definitely come again.

Traditional fish restaurant with grandma's recipes!
De Meerpaal is the oldest fish restaurant of Zandvoort. In this cosy place, chef Lenie already rules the kitchen for 39 years. This results in typical and tasty fish plates, all prepared according to traditional recipes she has used for years. Salmon, catfish, sole; you name it they have it. And if you like to be surprised, go for their secret recipe and taste the ‘Grandmothers casserole'.
