About the restaurant De Olijfboom

A showcase of Greece

On the edge of the city Groningen you can step into Greece. Their logo is appropriately an olive tree and inside the dominant colour is olive green. This is a food shop with a small eatery (ouzerie) together. The showcase is the menu and you can compose your own meal to eat directly or take home with you. Sustainability is important so they use only local farmers and produce on a small scale.

Starters were fantastic, mains lacking a bit of salt, otherwise nice and authentic food.

Lovely people and genuine Greek food. The best I have ever had outside Greece.
