A little gem which has a wonderfully unique atmosphere. The restaurant occupies an old windmill which has since been lovingly converted. The kitchen, although very small and with only two people working there, serves up the best steak I have ever tasted. The menu also includes wonderful fish and vegetarian options, but it's always the steak that keeps us coming back.

Seating options include sitting at the bar, where you get a view of the chef hard at work and you can engage with the bar staff in some fun conversation. But groups of four or more are better accommodated upstairs where you will enjoy seeing your drinks hoisted up deftly by the bar staff to the serving staff above.

The glasses you are served are also unique. Conical in shape with no stem, they slot into holes made in the bar, or rest on a purpose made wooden block if seated upstairs.

With sure a warm, welcoming staff, a chef who's worth his weight in gold and an interior that is one-of-a-kind and "gezellig", it's always on top of our list of recommendations.
