Took advantage of de Pauw's celebration menu. A great introduction to this long standing restaurant. Classic modern French cuisine. Good flavours, excellent quality with friendly knowledgeable staff. And if you are into your wines this is a place to put on your list. Had a great evening. Happy Birthday de Pauw!

Last night was at de Pauw, as usual a very special experience. The 4 course dinner we had with wine pairing was exceptional! It started off with an amuse of veal rib eye, couscous made of cauliflower en hazelnut pesto - the pesto brings it all together and gives that salty crunch - delicious! For the second course, we had a mushroom broth with a tartar of mushrooms, pumpkin cracker and madeira mousse, pairing wine was madeira - what a combination, real game dish. For the main course, we had the sukade with fermented garlic puree and pickled gherkins, also very yummy. The Chianti Classico brought it to another level! and for dessert it was the Pauw trolley full of delicious treats. The charlotte russe, pumpkin bavarois with orange and white wine ice - was absolutely to die for! The service was great, has a lot of knowledge about the wine and the produce, which makes it a nice evening to think about.
