The burger is good, though the patty seems to have shrunk quite a bit. Still good, and the fries and salads that come with the burger is also good. The rib eye steak was a bit of an issue, though, as it was to chewy and didn't really seem like rib eye, but more like skirt steak. Anyways, it's a nice place, and as it is nearby home, I frequent the place, along with some shopping in the store.

Really enjoy this place - good food at a reasonable price, good service, and free parking! Thursday is the "Hamburger" night (though the hamburger seem a bit smaller), but still a great deal. Can also combine shopping and dining at the same time. One of my favorite place...

Even on a windy drizzly evening with the shop closed, and unable to sit on the waterside terrace, this is a really charming setting. We went for 4 courses (you can choose anything on the menu ). Good value at 34.95 if you're a big eater. We started with the meat platter and the fish platter. The meat platter was just osseworst and 3 or 4 different types of salami. Really unimaginative and this for 10 or 11 euros. The fish plank was better though the crispy prawns were more crispy that prawny. Then we had grilled octopus and Caesar salad. We couldn't believe they were starter portions. How much octopus (which was very nice) does one want to eat with just a couple of slices of olive baguette? The Caesar salad, well, I know there are variations -it did have romaine lettuce and parmesan (a nice big crisp sheet) and croutons, but for the rest , the dressing was bland, no sign of an anchovy, and the bacon, chicken, onion, tomato and ice cold poached egg made for a really big bland mixed salad, but certainly not a Caesar in my opinion. Then we shared a cote du boeuf. At about 37 euros for two we weren't expecting a huge piece. What we got was a sprawling one cm thick/thin piece of steak. No bone in sight. Such a thin piece of meat can't be crustily grilled and stay even vaguely pink inside. So it was vaguely pink inside and mostly pale on the outside. The grilled or roasted vegetables we asked for instead of a salad could have been steamed. No sign of roasting or grilling or crisping or browning. We spoke to the chef. The butcher at the Landmarkt apparently provides the cote du boeuf thus. A bizarrely sprawling large thin piece of meat – without the bone, because people complained about the bone !! We'd had enough by this stage and abandoned our dinner. We were billed for the uneaten steak, not for the vegetables.
Maybe for lunch on a lovely day for something simple. (The chips were nice). But otherwise pretty hopeless.
