Booked here for my boyfriend’s birthday meal with two friends and it did not disappoint. We had prawns to start along with pate and bread, the prawns were amazing and huge! Both couples ordered steaks which were cooked infront of us on an open fire which was absolutely mesmerising and very welcomed after walking around in the cold December weather. We had a tomahawk steak and a chateaubriand steak. Both absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. I would whole heartedly recommend visiting this place and we all definitely be back.

What a fantastic warm and inviting restaurant. The staff couldn’t be more welcoming and attentive. The food was second to none and gave recommendations to what beer would go with your meal. Thank you De Wijngaert for a fantastic experience.

This small but mighty restaurant was amazing! It was recommended by one of our friends and it did not disappoint! If you are looking for a great cozy restaurant to eat at while in Brugge you will not be disappointed ???? the food , and the service was fantastic, thank you so much for the experience. I hope to visit again.

On first time vacation to Bruges. Used The Fork to choose the restaurant based on high prior reviews. Unique and special dining experience, with all the high quality meats being roasted over an open gas & wood fire in the intimate dining room. Staff was hard working and pleasant. A very good dining experience and Bruges memory!

How fantastic to find this super restaurant no more than 25 metres from our hotel. Sat close to the grill it was a warming evening for me and the food was wonderful. Mixed grill was beautifully cooked and the croquettes are a must to try. Loved it!
