My wife and I had a good time at this restaurant, the service was impeccable, the place nice and welcoming, the food wasn't bad but could be better. Overall I would recommend this restaurant, actually I have already recommended it to colleagues.

Nice staff, we were sitting outside on the sunny terrace. The food was OK, the starters (spiess van tonijn en kalf) slightly better then the main (zeeduivel). The fish was ok, but nothing special.
In my opinion the place is overrated.

I am very sorry to say but this time round this place disappointed... first of all, we reserved well in advance but they did not bother to seat us in a good place, but in front of entry door... in the cold weather it was pretty annoying...
the starter was very good... as expected and the duck main course also did not disappoint much... I must say my last time experience of starter AND dessert was heavenly....
so, I went with major enthusiasm... the dessert was terrible.. they forgot to add the mascarpone mousse.. and all the waitress could say was -- " oh maybe they forgot.." nobody bothered to come over and apologize for it..
trust the Dutch service mentality on this...

Verrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy sad..
imagine, going to a place to enjoy their dessert and be totally disappointed by it and nobody cares... horrible!!

We enjoyed a lovely evening here yesterday with friends. We had the 4-course surprise menu plus the cheese course and we selected wines from the wine list, plus enjoyed a few selections from our server. The food, the wines, and the service were pluses, but the place itself is a bit noisy and much like a brassiere. Also, the second course and dessert course were not as tasty as the other courses. But overall we enjoyed it and the price was very reasonable for such nice food and wines - only 512€ for 6 of us!
