Nice meal, good atmosphere and great location beside the Amstel river. Busy Friday evening atmosphere but we had a quiet table in the greenhouse at the back. Great that they serve tap water at the table: a real plus for me. Good service.

Check your bill, though: I was overcharged (by mistake, of course) by 47 euros!

We both had a fattoush salad. It's a light salad, with only fresh ingredients. Subtle seasoning. Laid back atmosphere. Bery neat decoration, and lovely terrace overlooking the Amstel river. Service is a bit slow; there seems to be a bottleneck in the coffee corner.

We had a few people serving us but the main person was so sour and disinterested in what she had to do. If Monday ain't your day girl, don't turn up to work.

Great meal and restaurant, the mussels are delicious and the place is ideal for a family / friends dinner or even a date, only thing I would not recommend is ordering a cocktail, it was only ice !

I had an exceptional Caesar salad here. Uncertain whether it was just a passing King's Day fancy or if the salad was just really good. Being of generous spirit and heart I'll say the latter. Cheerful service, pleasant space, good food. Nice afternoon.

My boyfriend tried to discourage me from tipping as the service was not good. We live in Amsterdam and had made a special trip across town to have brunch after seeing how many restaurants were closed for Easter/Paas; I'd been wanting to try brunch at Ysbreeker for awhile. Omelets were ok, desserts were good but not great. We ordered a bottle of champagne, which was a blanc du blanc, and quite good.

We'd both been to Ysbreeker to sit on the terras for drinks, this was our first proper meal inside. I really hate sunshine, so it was nice to sit inside out of the sun, but be able to see the sun, while many people wanted to be outside so it was easy to get a good table inside.

The place is so big it is kind of institutional. I should've realized the desserts would be mediocre because on the menu it says 'dessert by' and gives company names!! So not huis made.

But mostly it has a big, very disorganized waitstaff for a large venue. We had trouble getting the sparkling water we ordered. We had trouble getting the check, we had trouble getting someone to take our dessert order. Considering the inside of the building was 3/4s empty, and they seemed to have plenty of staff, the service should've been much better. We also had at least four people helping us, and no one seemed to know what was going on.

But lovely space. :)
