It was good food, but in my opinion the cost of the meal exceeded the quality of the food.

For my starter I ordered Mushrooms on Toast. The Mushrooms were very tasty. However, the bread was not toast - it was deep fried bread and loaded with greasy fat - very unappetising and I did not eat it.
For my main course I ordered Sole meuniere which was very poor. Sole meuniere is Sole fried in clarified butter. The butter adds to the flavour of the dish. My sole was dry, no butter sauce on the plate. It could have been fried in a deep fryer. A second disappointing dish.
I then waited, and waited, and waited but no one asked me if I would like a dessert.
So I just asked for a coffee, paid my bill and left.
Not a restaurant that I would visit again and not a restaurant that I would recommend to my friends.
Poor food and poor service.

The restaurant was very welcoming on a rainy Sunday night in Bruges. Service was friendly, we had a good discussions with the waiter. I had an excellent bowl of mussels, my companions both had the stew and enjoyed it. Portions were large. Dessert—Dame Blanche (sundae) for me, chocolate mousse and creme brûlée for friends, finished with complimentary shot of Elixir of Bruges. The waiter brought the bottle over to explain what it was, and yes, we felt healthier after finishing it. I started with a gin sampler, 3 different gins, 2 different tonic waters. Overall a very nice evening and meal.

Efficient, very friendly service. We had the menu: snails, mussels in white wine and panacotta for desert. Excellent! Our hotel recommended it! Definitely a good choice!

Very charming service. The fish soup was very good, the chicken waterzooi fine. Reasonably priced set menu and wines. menu of snails starter and pork well put together. Despite it being a slow very rainy evening the team made it very enjoyable.

We had a lovely evening, the staff were welcoming and helpful. The meal choice was fine but maybe a bit more of a choice for vegetarians would be good. We were celebrating my birthday and my pudding arrived with a sparkler and indoor firework which was a nice touch. The on-line booking was easy and helpful.

Wonderful food. Pleasing setting as we sat at a table on the street looking up at the Belfry. But we ate later on a Saturday night (9 pm) and there was a shift ending so our server who was initially fantastic left without a word to us and no one seemed to pick us up. We had no further service outside after that and in fact could probably have left without paying but we wouldn't do that. We just wanted a second drink with our dinner which we never got and at least this saved us paying a tip "haha"! But the food was wonderful I had a huge fresh piece of cod with veggies for 23 euros and he had the pork cheek stew which was wonderful and not greasy and just really unique and I think that meal was 21. Excellent food. Thanks.

The mood missed higher marks only because it was a sweltering evening and they don't have AC. Otherwise, this place was perfect!

The reception was a bit cold. We took the carpaccio and it had practically No olive oil, nor was there any additional bottle. The filet Mignon was dry and tasteless Fries. The crème brulee was OK. No typical bruges dishes, altough the menu was called 'in Brugge'

This is an unassuming restaurant from the outside but when we went in, we were delighted with it. The service was great, lovely atmosphere and food delicious. We had a great night! As with most places, they stop serving food at 9.30 ish so make sure you get there early enough to avoid disappointment. Really recommend this place for a relaxed night, great food (amazing mussels!).

Fish soup was overpriced and not fresh. Mussels were very disappointing, felt that they had been cooked yesterday! Meat dishes were a better choice, rabbit and pork cheeks were good.
