High tea was een beetje over the top. Liever traditioneel: scones & clotted cream, div. jam etc. sweets waren te zoet. Stoelen en banken zitten erg oncomfortabel.

The Management of this Restaurant need some lessons in customer service. The place was dead with six other diners. The service was effusive but slow, food middling but to advertise a Selection of Mature Dutch Cheeses on the menu then bring you a selection of non-Dutch cheese that I could buy in Waitrose any day is somewhat of an insult. It seemed to be a classic city centre hotel with a few captive, lonely, business diners and did not cater for couples visiting the city, neither did the hotel itself.

Nice and elegant place for high tea! Great teas and food. Good atmosphere with live piano music. I will definitely go back and 100% recommend it.

The tea was really weak and made incorrectly. Disappointing. The savouries were poor and a little on the mealy side. The sweets were ok. Service was extremely slow - but for the ambiance it was very disappointing service. They also tried to charge us incorrectly. I will not return.

My mother and I had a high tea for her birthday. It was lovely, each tea specially chosen for each of the 4 rounds. Two savory followed by two sweet. I've had high tea here once before, nothing else ever holds up to these standards. It is costly but worth every penny! I am pregnant, so I have restrictions from what I can eat. This is the only restaurant where I didn't need to explain what those restriction are. Very impressed. It's located in one of the most beautiful parts of the city center. That makes parking more difficult. We spent 15 minutes circling the hotel before we gave up our car to the hotel valet (€7 p/hour). Its funny because he parks your car just in front of the hotel, not 5 steps away. I could have done that and saved some money, but I guess this way we went for the full experience! LOVELY, no comparison!

The service and decor were both splendid. The high tea was two small savoury courses, then two large sweet courses. This was a little too sweet-oriented for my and my companions' taste. I suggest they should offer a savoury or sweet option.
