I saw one bad review and many good reviews when choosing this restaurant, if only I had taken on board the bad one then I wouldn’t have wasted my time and money. When entering there was an unpleasant smell of what I can only describe as stale greasy fat. We shared what was supposed to be a chicken salad to start. Basically it was a bowl of lettuce with a scant offering of boiled chicken scraps off the carcass used to make a stock, I had 6 bone fragments which was most unpleasant. For mains I chose the steak which was far too thin and was served with soggy chips. My wife had the shredded lamb parcels on a bed of watery puréed potato which were no more than adequate. When it came to the bill, I had to ask for the 30% discount agreed with Fork. We have eaten great food on this road trip which all came to an end here which was disappointing as Salamanca itself is stunning. On a positive note, the wine was one of my favourites and as it was cool outside we could sit inside with our dog.

We where on a trip in Salamanca. The restaurant was nice inside but we decided to eat outside to enjoy the warm weather of the area. The place's owner was really nice and kind. The food was amazing and at a really affordable price. I suggest you to try the crunchy lechazo, it was wonderful! The was good balanced and very flavorful in my opinion. There was just a little flaw for me: the waiting times where quite long. Apart from that, it has been a wonderful experience and I would recommend this place to whose are visiting the town!

The location is perfect if you are looking for a quiet place in the middle of the historic district. The lady owner greets all customers, but doesn’t have but one person working with her, so you can expect the service to be slow, but friendly. The quality of the food is excelent and the plates are tasty. Because is a gastro place, the portion sizes are modest, so if you are very hungry, you may need to order many plates which could make your bill higher. Prices are right for the quality and gastronomic experience you will enjoy. It is a nice place to have a romantic and quiet dinner in a casual environment.

I was greatly surprised with this place. The food was amazing! I was expecting nice food but not this level. Other remarkable point is the service, very familiar. I understand why the invoice is different than other places because the chef makes different food every week, depending of what she buys in the market during the week, basically she adapts the dishes to what are the best products during week. Highly recommended.

The lady who served us was very helpful to us on choosing our dishes. The food was great but quite small portion to say, it’s tapas after all I guess. When calculating the fork discount, there was some miscalculation that we have to pointed out but it was fine eventually.

Our meal (dinner) was extraordinary. We opted for the 'menú gastronómico', which consisted of five courses (there are other menu combinations and a la carte/tapas). Each course was remarkable, and the sequence of courses made complete sense in terms of complementation. We asked for suggestions regarding wine pairings. That of a rioja with the lechazo was magic (the lechazo itself – wow). Added advantage – the restaurant is a few blocks away from the Plaza Mayor hustle and bustle, so quiet and relaxed, yet still easily accessible.

The food is amazing especially the meat with peanut sauce. The lady at the restaurant is super nice and welcoming, recommending me what to eat. There’s not many people at the bar as well.

The corner restaurant was not very busy as were decided to eat very early - at 8:30! We had a small cheeseboard of local artisanal produce to start and then shared two main dishes - a broccoli dish and a pasta dish. All was very tasty and good value.

The food was amazing and the price more than reasonable. The dishes were varied and eclectic, from meatballs to scallops and the portions came in either Spanish tapas or regular entree sizes. Highly recommended!
