Loved the Dickens it looks fab inside and out. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the food was very nice. Typical pub grub done well. There was a party downstairs (I think!) and so it was super loud. Having never been here before we went in on the ground floor and we’re told to go upstairs. Thank goodness I could make out what was being said by the ‘sign language’ because there was no way I could hear what the barman was saying! Definately would recommend and really want to come back in the summer.

Toilets dissusting, wife said worse evef seen .only 5pm. Food fish chips worst ever had anywhere, batter tasteless no seasoning, fish haddock tasteless badly cook. Chips frozen under cooked not all but bigger peices. Peas awful taste like bee.in sat in water for hours. Complained got free desert coffee. Friut crumble apparenly made in house. Awful frozen mixed fruit heated up with what looked and tasted like a digestive bisquit crushed with a few oats. Sprinkled our the top. Yes it not high end i expect a 5 out of 10, but wad a 3. Cleatly mugging off tourist. I m local and have not been there for 5 years the next time i go back willbe never.

Lovely meal this evening. The sea bass and ratatouille was excellent. The staff were super friendly and although the restaurant was quiet this evening, we never felt any pressure to end our evening early. Lovely experience.

The ambiance and location were perfect for a break between Tower Bridge and Tower of London! The Grill was warm, cozy and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed the service and setting! Highly recommend!!

Really nice looking but awful food and below average service. Starters arrived with mains. Roast was ordinary. Steak so raw they took it off the bill. Seated at 6 and after our meal we asked for a dessert menu only to be told the kitchen closed at 7. Would not recommend.

The food here was lackluster. We had an 8pm booking and a few items on the menu were already sold out. The kale salad I had wasn't fresh and the leaves were wilted.

We both ordered the king prawns one without panchetta but both came with panchetta was very greasy and they wasn’t king prawns then we both had fish and chips fish was nice and hot and fresh chips were dry we both had the fruit crumble which was nice and the best part of the meal

Sat waiting to order for around 10mins and had to ask if they could take our order.I had fish and chips and was surprised at size of fish,very small, it was half of a fish. The location was great and the servers were polite.

Fabulous service from the bar staff on our arrival. Asked where we go as we had a reservation, promptly pointed in the direction of the stairs & told to go to top floor, where we were met by our waitress. Asked if we wanted to sit outside (which we did) given a choice of tables, service was great- waitress can and took our drinks order then asked if we were ready to order. The fish and chips were so fresh, batter was really light & chips cooked properly. We were not rushed at all & when asked for the bill the waitress brought it straight over. Lovely place for lunch with fabulous staff who are polite, welcoming & great at their jobs. 10/10 from us

We emailed ahead to request gluten free roast dinner which is advertised online and had confirmation but on the day there was no gluten free option so a salad was ordered instead. Other small details were no Tabasco sauce or celery available for the “signature” Bloody Mary. No chutney/jelly or fruit served with the cheese plate; just cheese and 6 identical crackers. Very boring and not worth the money.
