10/10The staff of El Cielo de Urrechu was very helpful from making and changing the reservation to helping take our photo at the end of our evening. They accommodated our English speaking group with patience and professionalism. The food was excellent, the view was fabulous, but mostly the kindness of the staff made the last night out after living in Madrid for three years very special. We are very grateful to the staff of El Cielo de Urrechu.

10/10Lovely setting for a special meal. Each dish was delicious and the service was faultless. It is not the cheapest restaurant around but the whole experience meant the money was well spent. We will come back soon.

About this restaurant
La cocina de Íñigo Urrechu vuela a gran altura. Quizá tenga que ver con la ubicación del restaurante, en la última planta del centro comercial Zielo Shopping de Pozuelo de Alarcón. En un espectacular marco, con vistas panorámicas a Madrid gracias a sus enormes ventanales, Urrechu se luce con una cocina vasca moderna. Entre los primeros, rinde culto a la huerta con su parrillada de verduras de temporada y al terruño, con una menestra de setas que se acompaña de huevo frito. Sus clásicos miran todos hacia el Norte, como no podría ser de otra forma. De allí se trae sus famosas kokotxas de merzluza, rebozadas y al pil pil. La ensalada de bogavante, que se sirve en una vinagreta de su propio jugo y cama de cebolleta trufada es otro de sus hits. Entre los pescados, merece la pena darle un tiento a la merluza en salsa verde con almejas y de las carnes, tiene justa fama el jarrete ibérico braseado en su jugo. Para la postcena, merece la pena tomarse una copa en la estupenda terraza, disfrutando de la sensación única de estar (prácticamente) tocando el cielo. El gastronómico y el otro. Los aficionados al foie gras no pueden perderse su corte, que se acompaña con tejas crujientes de pan dulce.
