It had been a distasteful, unacceptable and disagreeable experience!
We were a party of 12 , although the menu listed with various choices, our party was only allowed to order the same item. I had never been to any restaurant that customers were not given options. Our party had to uniformly settle with the 5-course meal.
As some of us have allergy to certain ingredients used among the 5-dishes, we had to make our cases in order to “plead” them for “accommodation” to substitute those dishes.
As for the food, it was very salty and that had very much overpowered the taste of the ingredients. The steaks were inconsistantly cooked.
We were only given one set of cutlery for the whole meal; and there were big time gap between dishes served.
Despite our early instruction, they had issued us with 1 bill even we were seated at two different tables and had ordered different beverages. The waiter rolled his eyes in front of us when we were trying to explain why it would be more convenient to have separate bills.

We went twice during our stay in Barcelona. The first time, it was just my husband and I. The service was great -- and so was the food. I have food allergies to onions/garlic and they created special appetizers, side dishes and sauces for me that were totally delicious. We went back two nights later with business colleagues and were in one of their private rooms. Again, great service and great food. Highly recommend.

This was without doubt one of the best meals we have had in Barcelona.
Cristal Bread + Cremona (Cava)
Risotto of Rabbit + Stuffed Pigs feet/ Parmesan ice cream+Chocolate Coulant + Fabulous Sweet Red Wine to finish.

I am Spanish and have eaten in many places due to business all over the world and this restaurant is amongst one of my favourites. I have visited it 3 the last 6 months with different situations and number of us and was never disappointed or made to feel unwelcomed. Looking forward to my next visit to Barcelona to revisit Raco D'en Cesc!

Upon reaching punctually we told them we have a reservation under the fork account user. The waiter that greeted us had no idea and went to find another waiter to take care of us. Took out the smartphone and showed him 8.30pm reservation table for 6. What he said next and his expression totally revealed he did not have our name in the reservation list. Thankfully the restaurant was not busy that night and there was a big table available.

We went for the recommended set menu
Appetizer was barely ok. The ravioli was super salty. It's definitely savoury but way too salty, even for someone like me who is used to salty Chinese food. The duck which is the main course was quite chewy. NothingçNothingç

A gem of a restaurant in Barcelona with excellent food and service. Unusual menu but everything we had was delicious and obviously cooked using fresh ingredients. Finished off with a pudding of chocolate, Thai green curry, watercress and rock salt - strange but delicious!

This restaurant was the perfect fit. We wanted somewhere really delicious and not crowded or loud. I had the tasting menu which was really good and my hubby had two smaller dishes. The somelier did a great job with wine selections too. Wine in Barcelona is surprisingly inexpensive compared to the US and fancy restaurants will recommend delicious wines that are $20-$30. The wine we had here would have probably cost $60 in the states and was $33 here. The tasting menu (38 euro) was well thought out and many great courses (the tiramisu was so yummy). Many tables were filled but it was quiet and a nice place to end a busy day of sight seeing.

A wonderful culinary experience both in terms of the dishes (we took the menu) and in terms of wine. The sommelier is really passionnate and shares his love of wines. A top restaurant.
