10/10Out of the 11 meals we have had in Spain on this trip so far, this restaurant was the topin every category. We had a very delicious and creatve journey with the chef. Ihope he opens a sister restaurant in NYC.

4.5/10All three of us were very confused about this restaurant. We ate very little during the day since we were very excited to save an appetite for this meal. We chose the Vegetal tasting menu, as the Origen and others had foods we do not like (cockles, mussels, goat cheese, pigeon etc). We found a big lack of creativity and the meals tasted blander, cheaper and uncaring the more we went through. The only two courses we enjoyed were the focaccia and the ravioli. The rest of the dishes were either too salty or even undercooked. When we started sending dishes back almost full (after we forcefully ate the first few due to hunger), they asked us if we were enjoying the meal and we were honest with them. We desperately wanted to give them a chance to fix the disappointment, but the bad dishes kept coming and the almost full plates were not replaced. We were told instead that there was nothing wrong with their undercooked (less cooked than al dente) and oversalted rice. What's worse is the dishes were presented in a way where it was obvious the chef was not used to doing vegetable only menus. To reiterate, we are not vegan or vegetarian. I even asked if we could have the lamb or octopus to replace some of the items, to which I would gladly pay the difference, but they said the chef doesn't like substitutions and it would be better to order a la carte in that case, which was almost an entirely different menu. We chose to stay with Vegetal, hoping they would deliver on Michelin level vegetal tasting courses like we had in Ibiza, still one of the best vegetarian meals we ever had. The service here was also lacking, and we were surprised with an additional charge of 44 euros for 4 bottles of water that they kept pouring us without asking or even mentioning the price. We left with a sour taste in our mouth that we were able to replace with cheap french fries and mozzarella sticks in our room after the meal. Nowhere close to any of the other dozens of Michelin restaurants we've been to. Sorry Chef. If you're not comfortable with the Vegetal menu, as your waiter told us, then why offer it as an option at all? PS: When a waiter introduces a dessert as "the chef had to work hard to come up with this dessert to make it vegan", you know it's not gonna be first rate.

6/10The location is good and the service was fine. The food was unimpressive, overpriced and salty. The vegetarian menu was especially disappointing. The menu didn’t match equivalent restaurants at this price. We won’t be going back again. We paid €60 for bottled water!

10/10Truly excellent in every aspect. The patio overlooking the garden is truly breathtaking and sight to see on its own. The chef's tasting menu was spectacular, very creative and every dish was well thought out and delicious. The sequence of dishes also perfect. (Michelin stars chefs at times try so hard to outdo themselves with every dish, the sequence they dishes makes no sense at all). Not the case at this restaurant, everything just made sense. Well deserving of the Michelin Star they hold; if take in account the ambiance and location, it could easily be a two-star place; I am certain very soon they will be. The service was outstanding and the whole staff was extremely accommodating. My wife hurt her back the day before and the outdoor chair was uncomfortable for her; the staff went completely out of their way and brought a chair from a different part of the resort altogether; everyone was so polite and extremely knowledgeable. The sommelier’s parings were on point and very well thought. The chef was very humble (not always the case at most Michelin star restaurants ), he greeted us towards the end of meal. A truly remarkable dining experience.

5/10Almost staff were junior and didn’t know what to do in Michelin level restaurants. Good staff we met all gone. Foods were worse than last year. No wow, no special sensation. Portion also small esp for value of money.

10/10This was our second time visiting es fum, on both occasions the staff were excellent and the food was outstanding. The location of the restaurant is great with beautiful views over the St Regis complex and gardens and our to the sea beyond. Overall an excellent choice of restaurant and one we feel we will certainly return to when we revisit Mallorca next year.

10/10A beautiful setting with wonderful gardens. The staff are outstanding; courteous, attentive (without feeling they are crowding you) and very well trained. We had the tasting menu and wine flight which were very well matched and really unusual.

9.5/10It's very nice location and the service and food is really very good. Friendly staff but is a pitty the chef doesn't appaer in the restaurant. Unfortunally the price is quite high regarding to other restaurants with the same "one Michelin Star". But my wife became roses for here birthday, which we were celebration in the restaurant :-)

10/10For this restaurant it is worth a longer journey to take in purchase. The location is beautifully quiet, in a nice hotel complex with gorgeous restaurant terrace. The service is the best you can get on the island - for this I put my hand in the fire. The staff is attentive and takes note of your preferences to fulfill them wordlessly on your next visit. The Sommerlier is a charming and extremely competent woman. The chef comes out for a personal chat. The cuisine is very fine, with international influence, artistic filigree. This restaurant has potential to 2 stars in my opinion, if a bit more storytelling happens around the dishes. This is definitely one of my favorites on Mallorca next to Zaranda, Dins Santi Taura and Voro.

10/10Excellent, unassuming and wonderful find. Great variety and fine value tasting menu. Exciting food with high quality presentation, service and inventiveness. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu offering great recommendations. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. The dishes were delicious as were the wine and cocktail recommendations.Book to avoid disappointment it’s really worth it.

10/10This restaurant was absolutely outstanding in every way! The service was brilliant, our waitress Vicky was friendly, knowledgable and so accommodating, she made the experience first class. The food of course was the best we have had, the flavours, variety and ingredients were beautiful. Each course tasted so good and there was brilliance displayed in each flavour. The chef coming out to speak to us at the end of our meal just finished the evening off and we were delighted to be able to communicate to him our praise, he is so talented! What an experience, 100% recommend!

6.5/10Perhaps we were a little jaded having eaten at four Michelin star restaurants in four nights, but Es Fum didn’t come close to any of the three predecessors. The only cohesion we could decipher was that every dish featured either foam or sorbet. No surprises and no knock out dishes. By the fifth course it was time to save on calories. In addition all of the dishes lacked balance with one ingredient completely overpowering the rest. Whether it was the watermelon in the lobster dish, date water in whatever the rest of the desert was, or raw cauliflower in the goat cheese and egg yolk dish. Some of the flavors were bold but did not live up to expectations or comparison with the three other Michelin star restaurants that excelled. On a bright note the service was outstanding.
