10/10Best restaurant in town! Amazing atmosphere, service, and the food quality was the best I’ve ever tried. Definitely worth way more than the current price point. This is one of those restaurants you can’t miss!

Upon entering, a warm welcome set the tone for an enchanting evening. We chose the exquisite five-course menu, each dish a masterpiece. Each course came with a painting depicting the ingredients, adding a visual narrative that enhanced the flavors. The service was impeccable, making us feel like cherished guests. Every detail was perfect, ensuring a seamless evening. Esperança Verde is a must-visit in Braga, celebrating culinary artistry and hospitality.

10/10Not only was the service outstanding but the food was exceptional and the wine pairing superb. We have eaten at several Michelin Star restaurants since we have come to Portugal and this was hands above anything we have had anywhere else. If you have the opportunity to dine at Esperança Verde do not hesitate.

10/10This is my new favourite restaurant in Braga. The flavours are sublime and creative. Texture and palates perfectly paired and all extremely well balanced. On top of that, this is easily the best service I have ever gotten in a restaurant in Portugal. Dedicated but not overbearing, knowledgeable without being pretentious. The music was well selected and played just at the right level. I plan on getting in there a few more times before they get a well-deserved Michelin star and it becomes painful to book. A truly wonderful find.

8.5/10Food was very sophisticated and well done, service was very professional. We had some difficulties communicating allergies in English and we ended up the night in pain. It wasn't clear that it is a fixed menue when we reserved online.

9.5/10We had an excellent meal at Esperanca Verde. The food was complex, interesting and very well prepared. Antonio is an excellent and gracious host and his son and wife are super talented in the kitchen. It is an oasis of gastronomy in a slightly out of town location and I would I would happily return. Many thanks.

10/10Nice and cozy place outside of the Braga city center. Pretty unusual serving of dishes, but very tasty and rather fancy. Definitely a must to visit in Braga.

10/10Rainy night, midweek and off season (January) - we had the restaurant to ourselves. From the three unexpected amuse bouches to the end, great. Unlike some places, in recommending wine, we were not “up sold” - a lovely wine good value. The owner (Hugo) is front of house while his son and wife run the kitchen. Hugo suggested that bread and main would be enough and adding an appetizer would be too much food. He was correct, although we managed dessert too. Great value for quality.

10/10This small restaurant is outside the old town but worth the trek as the food is outstanding and the prices very reasonable. The exceptional quality of food and service from this father and son operation made for a gastronomic experience we can wholeheartedly recommend. Do not be put off by the neighborhood as Esperanza Verde is a hidden gem.

10/10Amazing gastro experience in a family run restaurant that I intend to repeat soon. In fact Esperanca Verde is the reason to visit Braga again. It's by far the best restaurant in Braga and Guimaraes and undoubtedly the most value for money FINE DINING resto I have ever been. Should be awarded with a Michelin star ASAP

10/10The best experience in our trip to Portugal so far. Excellent food masterly execution and surprisingly affordable. We tried almost all the menu and there was no dish that was unworthy of praise. The chef should ai. get m for a Michelin star very soon. Highly recommended!

10/10My friend and I were staying in Braga for two day we went to this restaurant on arrival the first day after an wonderful meal we rebooked for the next day ( why wouldn’t you ) and had another perfect dining experience we once again were guided by the front of house also father of the chief and enjoyed another excellent meal ???? the 25 year old chief trained in fine dining the cost of meal and drinks very reasonable if you love quality food and are visiting Braga this restaurant is a must

10/10We ate at the Esperança Verde. And it was one of the best restaurant experience in my life: Antonio, his son and their team makes unbelivable dishes in a very peaceful atmosphere. Every plate is an unique experience that you can only find in a stared restaurant. The chief cook's genuine and typical ingredients of Portugal with an modern & Hi-end cuisine touch (the pictures speaks for itself). The fish and seafood are very very fresh and amazingly well cooked and the dressing is very rich subtile (for the eyes and taste) Antonio knows everything on his menu and don't hesitate to share his secrets with you. This place is a MUST DO in Braga and recommend everyone to taste it.
