10/10We spent a great evening here. They nicely allowed us to sit inside even though we had a dog with us. The service was exceptional: every single person working that evening (August 23rd) cared about us, regularly checked-in and proactively serviced with water regardless was it us or our dog. Also, everyone spoke well English. The food was well done: we took their recommendations: rump stake for my wife and a locally sourced pork steak for me. Although I don’t like pork in general, I really wanted to try this option and actually liked it. We also took mixed salad, padron peppers and green beans on a side and local beers to drink. Everything was top notch. Thanks the whole team for our evening here!

10/10Beautiful environment. Excellent steak and excellent add-ons. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Not too expensive for the quality received. Reservations for the evening required - it was full even on a Monday.

10/10Superb steaks, wonderful service. This is a pricey restaurant but you are paying for top end food. The steaks were superb but my 350g Rib Eye was €52 before sides but I was happy to pay that and I loved it. The staff were first class, and whilst there’s no children’s menu, they had their own sides and shared our steaks. Deserts were pretty cheap and wine was reasonably priced. I’d go again for sure!

9/10Found this place looking for a good steak during our visit to Hamburg. The guy who greeted us when we arrived. Was less than interested in us, it was like he had something better to do than attend to us. However once we were seated the waitress was excellent she couldn’t be more helpful. The steak was really good. It took a long time to arrive after ordering but we’ll worth the wait. All in a great meal I would have rated 10/10 if it had not been the attitude of the little man who greeted us as we arrived.

1977 war ein bedeutsames Jahr. Zumindest für die beiden Gründerfamilien des „la estancia“, das sich auf dem heutigen Gelände der Europapassage mitten in Hamburgs Innenstadt schnell zu einer feinen Adresse für genussvoll gegrillte Steaks entwickelte. An dem Anspruch, ausschließlich Premium-Ware auf den Tisch zu bringen, hat sich auch nach dem Auszug an der Hermannstraße nichts geändert. Im Nachfolger-Restaurant, das in neuen Räumen mit modernem Interieur und unter dem Namen »estancia steaks« eröffnete, kommen anspruchsvolle Fleischliebhaber genussvoll auf ihre Kosten. Seit April 2010 wird das Restaurant unter der Regie von Philipp Berg geführt, der damit in die Fußstapfen seiner Eltern, eines der ehemaligen Betreiberpaare des „la estancia“ trat. „Meine Frau und ich setzen damit eine Familientradition fort. Mit frischem Wind und neuen Ideen, aber auch mit dem Wertebewusstsein und dem Qualitätsverständnis der gehobenen Gastronomie. Wir haben tolle Gäste. Nur, wenn die sich immer wieder für uns entscheiden, haben wir einen guten Job gemacht.“
