Another superb meal at Estivo. We had the special - Veal Involtini with asparagus as a "garnish" according to a past diner. To make up for the lack of green we ordered a superb serve of beans - very generous too. We have been back to this favourite more times than I can recall. Will be there again I am sure.

Nice atmosphere and service, good wine options and a variety of food. Found dishes to be of smaller portions and seemed to be a restricted menu for the Fork deal which wasn't advertised at time of booking so you may question if its a true 50% off. Would return but would like to investigate if different menus are purposed for the bookings. Creme brulee is always a winner here.

Flavourless risotto. Lamb pastry dish was good, rest was quite average.

Love this place but don't really like upstairs which was where our table was this time. Nothing wrong with it really---nice tablecloths, comfortable chairs, etc but not the same ambiance as downstairs. Wondered whether those of us who were on the 50% deal were upstairs? Waiter on the other hand was friendly and efficient and knows the menu well. Food is always good here and it didn't disappoint although I thought my Barramundi was a very small serve----again left me wondering about the 50% deal. My husband's scallopine was excellent. Will of course return.

The food looks tasty on the menu but the real thing was very disappointing. The scallop entree was just 3 underdeveloped pieces. Then there was the overly tender calamari covered in bread crumbs. The pork belly was very cooked. The price was 50% off the listed price but so was the portion and quality. There are much better restaurants on thefork at 50% that don't compromise food quality and quantity. We couldn't finish our dinner fast enough and leave.

Staff were friendly and attentive which was lovely. The risotto was perfectly cooked and very tasty. The only let down was the presentation of the restaurant, it looked shabby ... It needs a little bit of a pick-me up.

We loved the food here. Lots of gluten free options and they understand cross contamination. The place was pumping and service was excellent.

We had a great meal; garlic bread, scallop entree and prawn entree, veal saltimbocca and the barramundi as mains and shared the honey panacotta. All very good, tasty and filling. The wine list was good with a wide range of wines by the glass - reasonably priced. Very good and attentive service. Well done.

The restaurant is cosy and nice. Food and service were great. Parking was easy. We enjoyed our dinner. Only one suggestion is for the waiter not to ask directly and loudly ‘how much are you tipping’ , that was confronting. We were going to tip in cash and not include it in the credit card. But he took away the invoice pad/wallet so quickly and we felt embarrassed to leave cash tip on the table. It didn’t feel right so we did not tip. Sorry.

We have been to Estivo a couple of times previously and found it to be very good. On this occasion, however, we felt we had a very mixed experience. 1. Firstly, we were asked if we were eating 'from the discount menu'. As we booked through The Fork on this special offer, this question did not need to be asked. Secondly, the way it was asked was rather unprofessional. Finally, there was no reference to a special version of the menu for this offer on The Fork or on Estivo's website. 2. Estivo is BYO, so we brought two wines with us, as this was my father's 91st birthday celebration. On arrival, we were informed that BYO was not allowed with the special offer. This condition was not noted on The Fork or Estivo's website either. 3. I would like to note, the food was very nice. Three of us ordered the 'veal scallopini with confit chat potato, grilled asparagus and creamy mushroom jus'. I would expect to receive a few spears of asparagus when mentioned as a feature of the dish (as distinct from a garnish which may not be itemised on the menu). The three dishes all came with several wafer-thin slivers of asparagus stalk amounting to a fraction of one stalk in total over the three plates - and no asparagus head to be seen! It was nothing more than a garnish and was very disappointing since we love asparagus and this influenced our choice. This verges on being misleading in my opinion. My Dad had the barramundi which he enjoyed very much and the pasta and risotto were both enjoyed as well so we had no issue with the quality and taste. Most of us had dessert or the cheese board and coffee which, again, were all very nice. 4. When it came time to pay the bill, another person, whom we had not sighted so far, rather than our waiter, came to the table with the EFTPOS machine. Before handing the machine to me to complete the transaction, he asked in a rather demanding way 'did you want to leave a tip?'. I took offence to this. I have never been asked this before. If believe it is deserved, I will gladly leave a tip. Most often, however, I will leave this in cash on the table or in a tip jar. Both my mother and I were intending to leave a tip but this request put an end to that intention for both of us. So, as I started with, a very mixed experience overall. Very nice food but lots of work needed on the interaction with customers. It's unfortunate that we did not have the very positive experience we have had on previous occasions.

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. My dining companion and I both chose the Wild Barramundi with Seafood Bisque accompanied by Steamed Broccoli with Almonds. Deserts are great too: try the Honey Panacotta. Wine by the glass is well priced. The service was attentive and well spaced without being intrusive.

This small restaurant was at capacity on Saturday night showing just how popular it is. As usual the meal was excellent as was service - good reasons for continuing to support this neighbourhood gem

Everything was very tasty except we found the risotto to be very bland this time, it needed more flavor/seasoning. The service was very good also.

Scallops were the size of a five cent piece, risotto was not cooked through, the barramundi saved the day

Quite disappointed and wondered whether it was because we had a 50% off deal. Half hour wait (but at least we were warned). Female toilets not great.
