About the restaurant Etapes

"Located in the modernist Enrique Granados Street, Etapes gastronomic restaurant is located. Its amenities elegantly combine wood, glass and iron, which creates an especially cozy atmosphere.

Its cuisine stands out for the use of fresh market produce resulting in the most representative recipes of the Mediterranean traditional cuisine such as canelón de rustido, foie gras, truffle and cream cheese, salted foie mi-cuit, or lacquered shank of lamb (slow cooked for 18 hours) without forgetting their rice dishes and fresh fish. The homemade desserts and selected wine list deserve special mention.

With a private lounge and a quiet terrace, this restaurant is the ideal space for special celebrations. The quality of its cuisine and service and the pleasant atmosphere that one breathes make Etapes the perfect choice."

Every mouthful of every course was a work of art. As soon as we arrived the staff were very attentive and knowledgeable, but at the same time relaxed and friendly. We chose the Duck Ravioli and Cannelloni for our starters and said that we were going to share them since neither of us could make our minds up which we wanted to try more. The starters were served as two courses, which worked really well and tasted fantastic, especially the Duck Ravioli which is a taste sensation. After a great starter, sometimes the main course can disappoint, but not here, it just gets better and better. My wife's steak was cooked to perfection, once again tasted superb and seemed to melt like butter whilst my pork dish was perfectly complimented by the sauce which accompanied it. The wine pairing suggested to us was spot on too.

Expensive, only good dish was the Duck Ravioli. Other dishes were average. Maybe we should have ordered the set meal as it was pretty cheap at 15.5 euro as to ours at about 45 euros each for 1 starter plus main Only. Not worth to order the expensive ala carte menu

I tried the chef tasting menu. quality of food is a little better than average, but no wow factor. At 60 euros for 6 courses, I find it reasonable, don't feel being ripped off but nothing great to write home about either.

My husband and I ordered the chef's tasting menu. Every dish was superb. Not only were they delicious but beautifully presented. Portions were small, but there were plenty of them. The waiter was particularly helpful in recommending delicious wines at reasonable prices. He spoke English perfectly. It was a very enjoyable experience. We made reservations online and did not need to wait at all.

Great service, tasty and well presented food and an excellent choice of pairing wines. The food was delicious, of high quality (prawn tartare, fresh tuna, lobster, suckling pig), and the wines were very interesting - not what you usually get, but something the Chef picked out. It is a family owned and run restaurtant, and serving the customers is their Overall goal. We had a wonderful evening, and can fully recommend the restaurant! We will come back when in Barcelona again!

This restaurant is so amazing that we chose to eat here twice in 4 days! The owner was extremely accommodating and welcoming! He was very knowledgable about wine and introduced us to some delicious wines that we may not have tried without his explanations of the wines. The food is outstanding, as well. The scallops with pork belly is melt in your mouth delicious! Frankly, everything we tried was great! We ate at other establishments while on holiday in Barcelona that were good but Etapes is the standout! I highly recommend it!!!!

Superb restaurant that we visited twice during a recent trip to Barcelona. The staff are so friendly and helpful, making appropriate recommendations (particularly with regard to the wine). The food is excellent, we particularly liked the duck ravioli and Black Angus Nebraska but all of the food that we ate was delicious so it is difficult to choose a favourite. Great atmosphere on both visits.
We will be back the next time that we visit Barcelona.

Our family with 2 young teens booked 2 day in advance. We did not know what to expect when we arrived. We enjoyed every dish. The Chef's menu was very creative and the portion was just right for us. Our kids realky enjoyed their tiramitsu. The white wine recomended to us was really nice. Overall we had a lovely dinner.
