The food was awesome, and the place was very cozy. We had to call for the waitress because she didn't come by herself after the first 20 minutes - which was okay since we already ordered drinks and were chatting - but normally you get accustomed to fast service. Once we got the service, the waitress was very nice and we let the waiter take a picture of us, which he was totally cool about. The main courses were delicious, as we speak I still feel like I'm going to explode because the food was so great and filling. I'd definitely recommend this place if you plan on sticking around for a long time (1.5+ hours)
Eten is gewoon perfect. Bediening is top.
Superlekker en topservice!
good quality, good service, delicious meals.
prima eten en aardige bediening!
The servers kind and helpful, the atmosphere is a little Indian/Nepalese, basic but with good vibes. It was extremely busy (Saturday evening), so the food took a little longer to arrive, but since I was catching up with a friend we hardly noticed. What we did notice was when it arrived - the food is excellent! It tastes really good and was plenty for two people: we started with samosa's, one set of 2 for us to share, then rice, butter chicken and paneer with spinach (and lassi!). When we couldn't finish it all, it was possible to take it home with us in a doggy bag, meaning I had a wonderful late-night snack later on :-) All in all, I recommend this restaurant to everyone and will definitely be coming back!
Food, sphere, price and service all very good. Met all expectations.
Wonderful Indian cuisine, the best in Leiden! We had delicious curries, the Side dishes, especially the nan bread, was finger licking good. We'll come back soon!
Ordered the saag and dansak - both were average, needed more flavour
Really good food and the staff was nice. We'll definitely eat here again!
The bright light in the bar is not nice.
Very enjoyable and very good value!
Lovely meal! I hope the lady that forgot her bag came back!
Prima eten en goede bediening
This is, for me, by far the best Curry restaurant in the country. Great food at great prices - can recommend it to anyone. Clear menu with spicy-food warnings, helpful and friendly staff.. what's not to like?
We had a delicious curries at this restaurant. Chicken Madras and Lam Dansak were the best among other four dishes. Garlic Nan and rice was of good quality. Service was good and fast. We will surely come back again.
Consistency is everything. Have had 4 or 5 brilliant meals here, always on a Tues, and we turned up on Friday expecting the best QPR food in town. Unfortunately that did not happen. Sure, the service came with a smile and the price was modest, but the quality of the food was not up to the high standard they had previously shown. The pasty on the samosa was wrong, the naan was not quite cooked thru, all 4 curry dishes had too much salt in them and there was more oil in the dishes than normal. Felt very much like another chef was working in the kitchen, but when I asked, they said it was the normal chef. Strange. Hopefully a one of blip as I really was beginning to really like curry again.
Simply put, this gets my vote as the place that serves the best food in Leiden. Eaten here 4 times now and every time I´ve been impressed with the lightness of the curries and the subtle spicing. Does not look like much compared to some places, but the prices are not out of this world either.
