10/10JOURNEYS END… You are up and out early from train station Madrid. Up and out to your hotel. A brief siesta, ( it’s Spain after all) . Stroll the most romantic streets to a Taberna… You are first arrival, your waiter directs you to the best table ( now you have front row seats as the other parties arrive) . Let’s have the waiter recommend a local red wine…perfect. Now for Tapas! Each a discovery that you can and must slow down and savor not just fantastic food but a new view on life itself. I looked to my wife and said, “This truly is our most pleasurable ’Journeys End’!

9.5/10Simple, friendly, short menu with very authentic dishes. Only locals but us, which tells a lot.. food is excellent, short wine list with great selection, with gentle prices. a wonderful quiet time, slightly away from the bubbling life of the historic city center. We wiil be back.

10/10Wonderful hidden gem! Authentic and absolutely delicious food with attentive and gracious service. Would definitely recommend as a place away from the crowds and tourist traps. Beautiful walk from anywhere in the city.

10/10Wonderful food, great service! You will find this one hidden in the winding alleys of Toledo. They have a nice terrace and about 8 interior tables. The menu is in Spanish and English in case you need it. There were three of us and we had two starters and two mains. It was just the right amount for lunch. The Carcamusas was absolutely divine! So if your looking to get your hands on a traditional dish from Toledo, try this one. You won’t be disappointed.

9.5/10Impressive gem of a restaurant! Really tasty authentic regional dishes were served by a personable and attentive waiter. So glad we had a reservation (on a Sunday). Our favorites were the pisto Manchego, rabo de toro croquettes, solomillo and carrilladas. Two thumbs up!

10/10Highly recommended! Small to medium size restaurant, air-conditioned and well decorated with a seperate area for outside seating if you want to enjoy the old buildings and narrow streets. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Though they could not really speak or understand English they made a great effort in making sure the order is correct. They do have an English menu as well, making it alot easier. The food was beautifully presented and very delicious with a perfect combination of flavours and well seasoned. Really enjoyed the dining experience and atmosphere, and will definitely recommend.
