Fado Portugués - Las Tablas

Excellent service - The waiters and chefs were friendly, attentive and always went out of their way to make us happy and comfortable. Food was very good albeit a little on the pricy side. Having a 'fish price by weight' clause written in the menu only in Portuguese could run them into problems with anybody who doesn't understanding the language. Even more so if it's not mentioned by the waiter. Luckily, I noticed it and expected it anyway. In the end the pricing seemed reasonable. Ambience was a bit strange - For a restaurant called Fado I was expecting for hear Fado music being played and not jazz. That said, the Portuguese are a wonderfully friendly people and the restaurant deserves a thumbs up for its excellent service and authentic cuisine.

It is a decent restaurant where you can enjoy some of the most emblematic dishes in Portuguese cuisine, paying a fair price for it. Also a great place to practice the language if you know it.

Como portuguesa debo decir que los platos no se assemejan en nada al sabor y calidad que se puede llegar a consumir en casi cualquier sitio en Portugal. El precio sería lo de menos si todo estuviera rico! En mi caso particular pedí caldo verde que no estaba hecho con la berza apropriada y además muy soso! Las tapas típicas portuguesas aunque caras no estaban mal. El pulpo á lagareiro en poca cantidad , sabía raro , acompañado por 2 trocitos de patata y precio exorbitado! No me atreví a pedir postre! Y lo peor el café que en Portugal es buenísimo pues ahí imposible. Eso sí el dueño y los camareros atentos y simpáticos. Debo decir que fui exclusivamente para ver um partido de fútbol que pusieron n através de internet y que fallaba constantemente! Para no repetir! Lo siento

Fantastic food. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Ambient atmosphere in a comfortable setting. If you like Portuguese food (or Bacalao) you have to try this restaurant. I personally recommend the Bacalao à Brás.
