Nice restaurant with friendly staff, but average food and no real chinese-japanese fusion...you either Japanese or Japanese....

I went to this restaurant because of all the good reviews here. And it was truly delicious. The best Asian food I ever had! Especially the sushi was incredible. At first it looks kind of strange but it taste so good (really!!). It is not the ordinary Chinese food. It's a new sensation people! And also, the Peking Duck was very tasty. Highly recommended! There weren't many people in this restaurant, which I don't really get because this restaurant is one of the best I have ever been. The staff was very nice and had all the time for us and helped us choose the menu. The quality was also very good. Thank you so much for this great evening. We will gladly come back.

I went to the restaurant during Iens diner dagen. The menu offered for this opportunity was well balanced demonstrating all the culinary qualities offered on daily basis. We had sashimi, sushi rolls and deep fried food as starter, beef meet with spicy sauce as main course (the beef was particularly tender), the dessert was icecream, sweet dumpling, ananas, mint chocolate. All the dishes were delicious and presented in a very sophisticated way. Definitely a place to go for a nice dinner.

Went for the 4 course surprise menu and enjoyed it very much. Although I think for a next visit I would order from the menu as some of those dishes sounded even more appealing than what we had. All the main dishes were creative, attractive and surprisingly delicious. Dessert was only ok - the low point of the meal.
Service was top notch. Offered drinks right away. Polite. Friendly. Always available.
We mentioned the food allergies of our group in the booking and confirmed it again before we ordered (2 people, 1 item each). For all the regular dishes, this was accounted for. However, on the dessert, our friend allergic to strawberries received his dessert topped with strawberries just like the rest of us. Luckily it wasn’t mixed in so he could still remove them and eat around it.

I was checking out this new Chinese restaurant on Overtoom on a Sunday afternoon.
The menu is more fusion style and it is quite a different concept to pick couple different smaller dishes instead of a bigger portion.
The waiter/waitress are quite friendly and attentive. I tried the appetizer: Steamed Scallop. The garlic sauce is quite tasty but the scallop was a bit overcooked. I like it just barely cooked.

I ordered the fried Udon but they don't have it that day and they suggested the Singapore Vermicelli instead. The vermicelli was really good! It has some Singaporean yellow species as expected but not too overwhelming or too spicy.
Both dishes are presented quite nicely and definitely not your typical Chinese restaurant presentation as in China town.
For main course, I have the garlic shrimp and it was quite good as well.

The decoration is fusion style and a bit tacky but the food and the service is good.
