Trato exquisito y carta sorprendente
Excellent view, one of the best I suppose. Food was great too and wine as well. But no one came to pour the wine nor water on the entire evening. And the staff seemed more or less stressed all of the time even if only the terrace was full and two tables inside. Bit unprepared overall. In the end all good.

Not as expected... onion soup was salty, I order the venison, was the worse I ever ate, others ordered the cod and it was really good, Desserts a total deception. You are paying for the wonderful views.

We had a very bad experience over lunch on 27 December 2017. We chose a set menu-soups, lamb stew and fish, cheese pudding desert. The pumpkin soup was cold and had a glutinous skin. It was returned three times without any improvement. The onion soup was also cold and returned too; it was very salty and poorly prepared. The lamb stew was watery and the meat was very odd - dry and tough on top and soft underneath. This was very odd for a stew as all the meat should be even cooked and moist; I can only assume that the dish was old left overs and had been microwaved to reheat it. The fish was better, but still overdone. It has has that dry top that indicate that it has been pre-prepared and reheated in oven. After paying and informing them of our concern on the dishes in Spanish, the reaction was indifference.

We sat outside on the terrace and enjoyed the spectacular views over the Parador at sunset. We had the degustacion menu having read the reviews and weren't disappointed. We were given a complimentary hors d'oeuvre which was a tasty mouthful on a spoon. The local white wine was a very palatable sauvignon blanc and verdejo blend from Bodegas Fontana. The starters were very tasty and plentiful. Main course was a choice of lamb or venison and both were very enjoyable. The dessert was a selection of 3, again they were delicious. Service was very attentive but not overbearing or rushed and the staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the experience and if we could offer any advice it would be to take an extra layer of clothing as even in the middle of August, it was quite chilly by the time we were on our dessert course.

Excelente servicio y excelente cocina. Sientan en las mesas que dan al mirador por orden de llegada, por lo que te aconsejo que seas puntual si quieres una buena mesa.

Wonderful surprise!!! Excelent food. The only remark is that the restaurant open at 9:00 pm... If you arrive early you have to wait at the street. The really open tge doors at 9:00 pm.... I think would be nice to have a lounge where you can relax and take some drinks before dinner.

El restaurante, inaugurado en el 2004, se enorgullece de estar emplazado en la antigua casa del cantante José Luis Perales. Ésta, decorada al más puro estilo tradicional, situada en el casco histórico de la ciudad de Cuenca y ofrece unas vistas privilegiadas de la Hoz del Huécar.
La especialidad local son los asados de lechas y los platos de temporada. Algunos platos representativos de su cocina mediterránea son el pulpo gratinado o bacalao sobre lágrima de tomate, y para acabar de redondear, un pastel de queso con lágrima de membrillo. Para culminar la velada pruebe algunas de las joyas enológicas que aguardan en su bodega de vinos.
Es un restaurante que marca la diferencia. Además de su cocina esmerada, sus románticas vistas desde la terraza y su bodega de vinos, el Figón del Huécar cuenta con un primer premio de restauración de Castilla la Mancha.
