Came here to celebrate girlfriends birthday. We was greeted and served by Georgia. She was very smiley. Was a lovely efficient service. We will be back
Good food great service
Decor great, drink goods, service brilliant, main course good, starter cheese tart very small and tasteless though. Breakfast nice
Staff were very polite and helpful which we very much appreciate
Lovely staff but cold food and poor quality of steak. Expensive and advertised as fine dining.. we would not expect cold food here. We chose this restaurant because of the specialist Josper Grill ... it didn’t really figure. Poor lighting where we sat and tartare sauce served with a burger!!!
I had made a booking online for 6 people at 5.30 pm and put in a request to change to 7 people. There was a more s understanding and they thought I meant 7pm and not 7 people. We asked to move tables as it was in a busy bit and were moved to a table which was in the freezing cold near the back. The staff were pleasant and explained the menus and the mains were lovely but t the desert waffles were tepid warm.
I booked for 5.30, disn't get seates until 6.10 and by 7.10 still ahd no food.. At this point we had ti leave to catch our cincert. Needless to say i will not return!
I have been to the restaurant once before and had the rib eye steak and it was incredible. This time it was tough and chewy, the fat had not rendered out so it felt sinewy and not a very pleasant experience. There were far too many peppercorns in the peppercorn sauce it and the heat was too much, the blue cheese sauce had a pleasant flavour but it was very watery. Really not the quality you would expect having paid so much. On top of this, they had a guitarist/ singer playing which is fair enough for a Friday night but it was so loud I was having to shout over the table all night, really not a good atmosphere. After a disappointing meal, we then went and sat by the fire pit with our drinks, I then received a call (I didn’t hear my phone but I checked my voicemail after noticing) saying that I had left the restaurant without paying my bill. It is completely ridiculous that they did not think to check the bar, they must have assumed we had run off with our glasses from the table as well? I did not complain at the time because it was my partners birthday (for which they did not acknowledge even though I stated at time of booking, is it too much to wish someone happy birthday?). To put it bluntly, the food and the service were lacking and I won’t be going back again.
Nice atmosphere and good service Roasted beets and whipped goats cheese was great. Prices very reasonable
We were offered water to start .. said yes .. never received it. We were not told what wasn't available until we tried to order it so then had to make a quick decisions. Chips were undercooked and hard so couldn't eat them. Not offered a dessert menu just the bill. Told the waitress we had a discount code and then she didn't apply it and then said we should have mentioned it. Cocktails were good. There was a band on but we couldn't see them as we were sat round a corner where there were just 2 other tables and no one else.
Really lovely staff, great food and the ambience was good. It was abit loud on occasion from the hotel desk but nothing that put us off. Can't praise the staff enough. Would highly recommend the steak and the banoffee pie!!!
Great food and excellent service!
Food was excellent, but service was awful. I wouldn’t rush back there
Value for money was amazing, the food was incredible. There was a slight mix up with food orders but was rectified quickly and staff were apologetic and understanding.
Service was great friendly staff the food on the other hand let the whole experience down, the burgers tasted burnt the chorizo hotdog came with a big solid clump of cheese and onions glued to the top of it we did mention it but was just told that’s how it comes and the bitter burnt taste was the pretzel bread but iv never had a burnt tasting pretzel before.
Drinks over priced. Still hungry after meal and over priced.
Top class food
We stayed at the RBlu because it was close to a gig we were going to on Friday night. We decided to eat at the restaurant because the reviews looked good. We chose the £17.50 per person option which gave us two courses and a glass of prosecco. I had the duck egg scotch egg to start. It was absolutely delicious. We both chose the flat iron steak for main, it was cooked to perfection, the triple cooked chips were perfect and the wine choice was great. My wife didn't want a starter or dessert and instead had a cocktail which was included in the deal instead of a starter or dessert. I have to say the waiting staff were fantastic and helpful and went the extra mile to ensure everything was ok. The food was excellent, the atmosphere great with a live duo singing in the background. We will definitely be back and the Friday night deal was excellent. A great experience and if we didn't have a show to go to we would maybe have stayed all evening.
Very friendly staff, very clean restaurant with a great atmosphere. Did not feel like we were in a hotel. Food was really nice. Excellent to be able to see into the kitchens and witness the food prep. Great care and attention taken by kitchen staff.
delicious, and lovely staff.
