Fitzbillies Trumpington Street

Was a las minutes booking for my husband’s birthday. Staff made us very welcome. Food and setting were really enjoyable. Felt like a real treat.

Superb as usual, one of the best places in Cambridge for breakfast or brunch. If you are not full after breakfast, try their chelsea bun. It is awesome!!!

Great coffee, great food. We had the Full Fitzbillies.. It was great, love the sausages too, which are available in a fresh roll to take away. Did I mention it was great!

Really lovely atmosphere, food was really nice and loved the decor! Only thing I would say is that it seemed a bit expensive as I had a single muffin which wasn’t large with salmon and it was £10. Still felt hungry after. Other than that it was still great

We have been to Fitzbillies before, usually for coffee and cakes. Today we called in for brunch. I had the full Fitzbillies brunch which was excellent and most importantly for me, served piping hot. The vegetarian breakfasts were reportedly similar. I liked being able to book online, and being able to order from the table. For some reason my iPhone refused to display the menu after I had scanned the QR code, though my daughter’s identical iPhone on the same network showed it without problem and we were able to order. The card machine at the takeaway counter was also non-functional so I think there were some gremlins in the system. This did not detract from our visit, and the Chelsea buns we took home were excellent. Recommended.

Portion size of the pancakes was quite small but other than that the food was nice and the atmosphere was welcoming - i would most definitely visit again :)

I had the avocado toast with extras, very tasty!! The service was very quick with the app allowing you to order food straight away. Service and welcome was friendly.

The food was pretty good. The ordering was a bit odd. Being sat down at a table and ordering from an app was a bit of a surreal experience that I didn't love.

Very average for the price of afternoon tea (£19.95) Sandwiches tasted stale and needed better fillings for this price. Tea came in tiny individual stainless steel pots with No hot water pot. (Bit like you’d get at a service station) I would think afternoon tea for two At a traditional English tea room In Cambridge of 100 years standing could be presented with a china teapot for 2 And a hot water pot to accompany and facilitate a second cup. Service was also average. And jam was could have had Lumps of real fruit in it . Again it had the feel of Aldi jam not hartleys or a speciality brand

The food is good but the price is a bit higher for the quality and portions. It's overvalued. The service is done via mobile phone application and it is difficult to have contact with someone from the staff to ask questions about the order. For the space that is expected a dedicated service.

Excellent brunch for my husbands 50th birthday. Quick and easy to order. Plenty of choice. Fast service and friendly staff. Would not hesitate to go back.

Very busy when we arrived and it was reflected in the level of service. A bit chaotic. We ordered online and received our food quickly, a bit too quickly for you to believe it was cooked fresh though. However it was fairly tasty. I knew this place had links to Tim Hayward, but of a foodie, so I had high hopes. These were dashed I'm afraid. Most of my savoury tart was warm and tasted nice and the accompanying salad was lovely. It was an ok tart but nothing I would rush back to. We ordered desserts, well ..cakes, because here it would be rude not to. These didn't disappoint, I had a brownie with trimmings. It was jolly nice, could do with being smaller and gooier though. I'm glad I went but maybe a second visit would just be for cakes.

This was the first time we visited Fitzbillies, to eat in, we have really enjoyed it. Great welcome, clear safety guidelines, it was easy to order through their website (although they will take your order if you don't have access to a phone), food came quickly and it was yummy, I really liked my avo on toast. All in all a great place to eat and have a catch up with friends.

As they say it is one of the oldest and most amazing restaurant of this beautiful town. I loved the food and the hospitality of the staff was super. Would surely visit again!

The food was OK. Avocado on toast was £8 for just one small piece of toast and minimal topping - not great value. The avocado was missing from my friends chicken and avocado salad. The ambience was OK but rather loud due to tiled floors and minimal furnishings. Wouldn't rush back..

Great breakfast made excellent by the homemade hash browns, delicious! We found the app a bit of a faff to use as half the drinks wernt on it so we ordered food on app and drinks in person so not quite the point but at least they are trying.

Really pleased we came here for coffee and Chelsea buns. Warm welcome, speedy service and a buzzing atmosphere. Make sure you book ahead though so you can just walk straight in and not wait out in the street as people were today in the rain. Very covid compliant too. We'll done to Fitzbillies!

The coffee was really nice, food and service were alright, environment was nothing special, quite loud, and did not feel safe (too crowded) given the current circumstances. On the pricey side given portion size and quality

Beautiful setting, beautiful food! Gorgeous location with a rich and wonderful history — Fitzbillies fits right in! Will definitely be returning here whenever I’m in the city.
