LE RESTAURANT
En plein épicentre d’un 10ème gentrifié, voilà un vrai morceau de Kansas venant jouer un différent exotisme que ses échoppes voisines, kurdes pour la plupart. Floyd’s allume la braise US pour enflammer dignement les palais carnassiers. Se la jouant le clandestin inversé, l’adresse affiche d’abord un bar sombre au décor rétro-art déco où règne en maître une tête d’ours empaillée. Le ton est donné. Ici le bourbon coule à flots et les retransmissions de matchs US sont rythmées par le bruit des shakers. L’odeur des BBQ importés des Amériques nous titille et nous voilà débarqués en plein désert Texano-Californien : la salle cachée du restaurant témoigne d’une luminosité rare grâce à la cour intérieure qui la jouxte, et s’habille de murs en brique, meubles chinés et plantes vertes en abondance. Sous la dent, l’Amérique profonde distille ses plus saveurs les plus caractérielles : huîtres rôties farcies aux épinards flambés et parmesan ; poitrine de porc crousti-fondante, sauce BBQ façon « Caroline du Sud » et pickles ; détonnant Rabbit & Waffle avec lapin frit coiffant une gaufre au sirop d’érable ; Kansas City BBQ Ribs escorté de l’inconditionnel mac & cheese et envoutante bavette angus marinée à la papaye avec salsa d’ananas grillé, croquettes de riz et légumes grillés. Le tout s’arrose à l’américaine avec whiskys de choix ou à la parisienne avec champagne et cocktails finement pensés.

CONSEIL D'INSIDER
Le dimanche midi, on quitte le soleil des déserts texans pour les contrées pluvieuses de l’Angleterre en dégustant le très british Sunday Roast avec légumes de saison et viandes rôties au BBQ, sauce gravy et yorkshire pudding.

Fantastic American grill restaurant! Big portion of BBQ ribs, crispy fries with truffle.
We were 8 people so we ordered different dishes to share.
Each plate was delicious, from prime beef ribs to roasted pork!
The staff were very friendly for non French speakers: they are Americans so it’s authentic American grill style! Love it!!!!

Very good food and great atmosphere. The front bar was full and lively but the back eating area was separate and quiet. I ordered the ribs and they were delicious. The sides were a nice compliment and the French wine was very good. The staff was very helpful, spoke both French and English. Would go back on our next trip to Paris

We hope this was an off night. The waiter was inexperienced and just couldn't get it right. According to my husband and son, the salmon was good but I ordered my usual BBQ ribs and the sauce tasted like chemicals and it arrived with macaroni and cheese (dry) and no coleslaw or cornbread. The cheese cake was ok, but too much cream, not enough cake (used to be much better) and my husband's brownie was very, very small. Like I said, I hope it was an off night because we normally like Floyd's.

Delicious as always. Drinks are great and ribs never disappoint. Only downside was a misplaced delivery causing a lack of cornbread. À la prochaine!

Arrived early (by Paris standards) so there was only one other occupied table. The smoked rib eye is served in the sizes of roasts that are cooked. The smallest one that evening was just over 1kg which was large for 2 people, but we are meat eaters. Great piece of meat. It is smoked -- not BBQ or grilled -- so it is a different taste than other steak houses. The creamed spinach was excellent and BBQ sauce was good as well. You may need a good map or Uber to find it on its side street. At least it has a neon sign that can be seen easily.
