The service was not very good, I pre booked 2 tables for a birthday dinner & they were not cleaned there were crumbs & dirty glasses, I had to run around looking for staff. The food ordering took so long there was only one girl taking orders & trying to serve at the bar. I ordered an eggplant parmigiana & the eggplant was not cooked. No one came around to pick up our plates I had to do it myself. We asked to bring out our b’day cakes & no one had any matches to light the candles. There was no service, very disappointed.

Everything about the Forest is great the kids area and food and the atmosphere. It would be even better if that staff they had on didn’t stand around or they had more staff as it always seems to be under staffed my food would have been better if it came to me hot.

I like the menu there. Lots to choose from. My steak was pretty good but a little overdone. It's good you can choose your sides and sauce in the base price. We had to move outside. The aircon was turned up so much it was freezing inside. It was much more pleasant outside under the heaters.

Why go to the trouble of booking a table when on arrival (on time) the staff tell you someone has moved our reserved sign and they are sitting at your table. Sorry but you can sit somewhere else. We were then sitting at a table that was sticky all over the edges like children had been sitting there and had not been wiped down.

Our table for 2 was setup between 2 open doors to the courtyard area which had a nominal amount of foot traffic walking closely passed us. It was very full restaurant area, somehwta noisy which made conversation a bit difficult at times.

Very helpful team! Everyone was working together and looked so happy serving customers. Thanks Rosie, Jacinta, Jamie - you guys rock! Food was fantastic too! My finance director and my other work colleague were all praise with the whole experience.

The setting was wonderful and relaxed with not too much noise, I had the tacos which were tasty and enjoyable but would have been nicer if the flour tortillas had been warmed. In my party others had the salmon which they said was good, but maybe could be a tad less cooked. The staff were helpful and the afternoon there very enjoyable.

Needs better heating in winter months, meals are large, but just ok. We booked a table for 10, and when we got there, we were told that there was no booking, even though we had received two confirmations. We found alternative seating and then they discovered that, not only did they have the booking, the table had also been reserved. Not a great start to our evening.

We’ve eaten around 5 times now at Forest Hotel and the food has been poor every time. This time it was a simple beef burger that was dry and bland. Unfortunately it’s our local, but not even the convenience would get me to eat there again. I’ll stick to the beers

The staff was lovely but too busy for one person on the orders, drinks and coffee section. The food was good. Nice to see the updated menu. The air conditioning was far too cold today. It was mentioned but with no real improvement. Everyone kept their jackets on while eating. Our party enjoyed ourselves and will return.

The food was cold and came out at all different times even on the same number. Noone cleaned our table. We had to chase up coffees and food that was missed out. We were jammed in like sardines!!

The food was ok. We were a table of six my daughter in law had to go and get my husbands meal as it hadn’t come out with he others. It was a cold night and we were told the heaters outside were up to the customers and some said it was hot so the rest of us froze when they were turned off to suit them. The new menu was not very impressive and lacked variety. The prices have increased noticeably.

Upon arrival, part of our table had been taken by someone else, so our 6 people could not sit down. Ordering drinks took forever as only 1 person behind the bar taking both drink and food orders. Drink of coke very flat and terrible to drink. Kids chips cold but nuggets hot. Sitting outside on cold night, could not feel the heaters that were on. We have been coming to this hotel since it opened, generally always satisfied, but will now reconsider before coming again.
