We loved this restaurant, the location and atmosphere are amazing and the staff very helpful. We had sushi, it was really good. I would recommend this place to everyone!

Within walking distance, (about 500m) although a steep climb back, of our hotel Pousada Mosterio Guimareas, so nice and convenient. Welcomed at the door and allowed to choose our table. Not sure this would be the case if we had dined later than 8.00pm though as the place filled at around 9.00. The waiter was very good, explaining the various dishes to us. In the end we went for the chef's special. Pan seared salmon coated in a crispy nut/seed covering and griddled to finish. Laid on a bed of creamy piped potatoes inset with asparagus. Absolutely delicious.. Only one small downside. When we were first sat down we were presented with toast/bread/black olives/tuna, as if they were gratis. Of course they were not and cost €5. It is not the price as they were delicious also and good value. It is the assumption that the restaurant can choose something for you without asking and then charge for it. Other than that the Formigas lived up to its deserved reputation.

Nice place for very good food and staff

Very good food with excellent service.

Food was OK , a long menu but not much that was very attractive. Staff were excellent and surroundings were very good but number of sm all children out at 10 on a Saturdaynight meant it was noisy for our tastes

Very good food and service, highly recommended. Fish cooked in salt is overpriced (more than 40 Euro for a quite small fish).
