This little restaurant is a hidden treasure close to Barberini Metro. The restaurant is in the basement of a building on Via dei Cappuccini off Via Vittorio Veneto. It only has room for a few tables. However, this is where I have eaten the best lasagne anywhere. It is reasonable priced.

On our last day in Rome, after a lot of walking, we were looking for a place near our hotel Room Mate Filippo for a dinner. I am very glad I found this place based on the good reviews and booked it via Fork. We had to wait about 10 minutes anyway as the place was very small and packed with people. But after that the service was prompt and the food was delicious. Highly recommended.

2.5/10We are an older couple who do not eat large quantities anymore, so to enjoy the Italian food we experience we order multiple courses and share every thing. which has not been a problem up until now. This establishment is owned and run by a friendly husband and wife who also have a cute wine shop next door. We made a reservation knowing it'd be busy on Saturday night. Our reservation almost got ignored since they didn't have a designated or clear system separating customers with/without reservation. The wine and appetizers of cheese and cured ham were great. The service was rushed and we were moved to another table to accommodate a large group of customers came in the middle of our dining. We wanted to order pasta but we're told they had 7 other orders to be fulfilled and may not be possible, however we were served in the end. We ordered Cacio de pepe and another Cacio de pepe with truffles, however they were made in a hurry with just Alfredo sauce and some black pepper on top, and the one with the the truffle was too salty to consume. The ambiance was charming and cozy, but service was chaotic. Maybe they need to hire another server so it won't be so rushed.

First quality ingredients and stunning preparation. This was our second visit and we will make it a point to eat here on any and all future trips to Rome!

Very small hidden restaurant just off of the main street. You will need to make reservations to guarantee a table, there is only about 10 tables. The service and food was excellent. Loved the lasagna.

10/10wow this place was great. the service was perfecto. For the number of tables, I was surprised they were okay with us reserving for 6. But they got us right in. The food was amazing and made us sad they were closed the next day. Otherwise, we would have come back.

This place is easily 10/10! The food was the best we had in Rome. Authentic, flavorful and delicious! The owner and his wife were the most accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful time. The lasagna, caccio e peppe, the meat & cheese board, and their appetizers we are very delicious. The place is small so make sure to have reservations before going. You will not be disappointed.

The restaurant seems to be geared for tourists and is overpriced, while the food is mediocre at best. It does not seem to be authentically Roman and prepared with the care and pride I’ve come to expect from my many visits to Rome. The freshness and quality of ingredients was lacking. The bread was not crusty, as the traditional bread served in Rome. The red wine was served chilled. The tomato in the bruschetta was sliced, not diced (the first time I have ever seen that) and the tomatoes were not tasty. The cantaloupe in prosciutto and melone was also not particularly sweet. Not bad, but not good. My friend was also disappointed and pointed out that she believed powdered garlic was used in place of fresh garlic. I can only guess that all those who wrote positive reviews are not familiar with Roman food, as the restaurant was full of tourists. We were both disappointed and will not return.

I'm sorry you didn't have a good time with us. From what I remember the dishes came back empty and without any complaints, you could tell me at the time if something was wrong and give us the chance to repair. We only use fresh products and prepare all dishes freshly in the same time. This is why the tomato is cut into slices and seasoned at the moment and not prepared beforehand as most restaurateurs do, diced. We don't use garlic, but oregano, basilic, olio extra vergine and salt on the bruschetta! The melons are DOP fruit from Lazio and of the best quality, it may happen that among many there is some less sweet. I can assure you that we put care and passion into our business, as if we had to prepare a meal for our family. We will gladly wait for you next time Thank you Fraschetteria Giampiccolo

9.5/10Beautiful beautiful pasta. The tagliere leaves more to be desired for the price, but the pasta is the best I've had in Italy. Excellent service, nice quiet ambience and very good drinks.
