Have dined here several times before, enjoying the excellent service. This evening, the dining room lighting was quite bright; more disturbing was the noise of two raucous shouting children at one neighboring table and the overwhelming perfume at another. The food was less than mediocre: lobster crepes were deep fried battered rolls filled with tasteless lobster, fish soup tepid, and my shrimp and noodles dish proved to be two little shrimp, chunks of moist and well-cooked fish with elbow macaroni. How....silly!
Seafood curry is awesome and the grilled octopus is also very good.
Great seafood and fresh fish, the service outstanding, our waiter Felipe very professional and kind.
Great atmosphere, but the trade-off quality-price is completely unbalanced. High price for medium quality.
We visit Cascais at least annually and we frequently take the opportunity to dine here. The food is good, the service is always excellent and there is a decent selection of wines at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is upmarket but also relaxed. We have enjoyed large family lunches here as well as our date nights.
The lovely sea view with excellent food.
Although on the pricy side, it is a place that doesn’t disappoint. The food and service is top notch. Plus easy parking makes it a pleasure to visit.
Fantastic place for fish, with a great view over the sea. We were very lucky as it was almost full moon! The service is very professional and all the waiters are very nice.
Beautiful setting, delicious food and great service and atmosphere. Returning again soon.
The setting, the views, the time, the Arroz con marisco, the almejas, and the Cataplana de raya were excellent. Above all, the service was outstanding.
We had the gratinated spider crab and fried shrimp to start.. both were good. My husband & I shared the chateaubriand.. and it was honestly the driest piece of meat I've eaten in quite some time. We didn't even bother finishing it. Our friend had the octopus and it was delicious, as were the two desserts (lime tart & chocolate mousse). The atmosphere on the terrace is great; and it is certainly the place to go if you want to be seen or do some people watching.. we saw several celebrities come in, from fashion designers to footballers, and the service is generally excellent.. a tad overly enthusiastic when we first got there - we felt harassed to make menu choices within literally two minutes of getting the menu.. and then conversely ignored towards the end of our night (peak busy moment for the restaurant - we started at 8pm and wound up around 10pm) and had to ask multiple people for our bill etc. Also no one asked how our meals were, and I know this for sure as I was going to tell them how disappointing and dry the chateaubriand was, but I didn't get to. If our chateaubriand had been on point then I would've rated it much higher, but paying €48 in Portugal for a very ordinary piece of meat is just not on. I cook a better steak at home. Also our bearnaise sauce was a bit odd - not like the traditional. Anyway, it wasn't overall terrible.. it's just the chateaubriand experience really ruined it for my husband & I. Otherwise it was pretty good, and would've scored more like 8/10 or 9/10 from us I suppose. Make sure you book! Half our night's entertainment was watching people being turned away all huffy and indignant because they hadn't booked!
The food was outstanding and a blessing that they forgot about the lulas that were ordered.
Excelente refeição com sabor a mar. A repetir.
The location of this restaurant is spectacular. We sat on the terrace and enjoy beautiful sea views. The only issue we had was that we booked via Fork and they did not seem to have our booking, even though it was confirmed by email by Fork. Without fuss however, we were placed at a great table. We ordered the Algarvean style prawns to start which were very tasty, albeit that one or two tasted a little flouery. This was followed by the stuffed crab... delicious and could not have been more fresh! We ended with a seafood paella which unfortunately we struggled to finish, but it was really very tasty and again the seafood was absolutely fresh. The lovely staff gladly packed up the remaining two lobster we couldn’t manage and we happily took it home.
Great food, view and service.
This restaurant is well placed in front of the sea. Quality of meals and service is good. However, the reception service has to improve. When I booked a table, I have asked for a table in balcony near the sea. This request was not respected due supposed booking. But, at least 3 tables were empty when I arrived and when I left, with no signal Reserved!
