Lovely lunch and setting. Busy lunch service which could have been supported by more waiters/waitresses. However enjoyed it and worth a return visit.

Haven’t been to Galvin’s Bistro and Bar for years as usually go to La Chapelle so found todays experience at the Bistro very enticing. Very large portions and great service.

We had a very nice evening at the bistrot. We had opted for the vegetarian options in the set menu - the portion sizes was very generous and the food was very tasty. We had originally opted for 3 courses but had to stop after the main course as we were so full. The staff were friendly and attentive which is always a plus.

Supereasy to book online with very accurate info. A real 'value for money' fixed menu which surprised me in the area. Food lovely, staff very helpful. and a nice occasion.

Had an excellent lunchtime meal selecting from the set menu. The food was excellent, service timely without being rushed, and the being inside with a full service the noise level while initially high did subside after 2pm. A thoroughly memorable experience and I would not hesitate to return.

Reasonable food but terrible service and ridiculously noisy with other diners shouting and yelling and generally making it difficult to hear what our guests were saying.

Staff were all smiling and helpful, initiating conversations as well as answering. Music was low and pleasant not intrusive. Everyone around was having a good time. We had the three course set menu with the fork and all three courses were scrumptious and we were stuffed by the end. We nearly went to La Chapelle, but we went just around the corner and found a little gem. We didn’t mind the 14% service at all. We’ll be back.

Unfortunately we were short of time as going to an event.however the food was really lovely the staff very friendly and the ambiance was super .so would come again as the set menu was good value. Enjoyed the aperitif maison too!

I always love Galvin. there are others too. it was tricky to find this one because of the massive renovation taking place at Spitalfields. There is a defined walkway. it would have been helpful to know about this. It was well worth the search involved! We loved it.

Great find! Great deal - £28 for a 3 courses menu! Absolutely amazing. The food was beautifully presented and very tasty. Aubergine was a bit underseasoned for my taste but that's my humble opinion. Service got better towards the second half of the meal. We waited for an hour to have our starters and drinks.

Lovely food couldn’t fault it! Acoustics a bit awful , found ourselves repeating ourselves trying to be heard over shouty diners .. but it was a Friday night.

Ambience and food were very good, the restrooms were clean (despite no hand cream) and the staff was polite. However, it took us 15 min to get the waiter to the table to order and after we were done, 30 min to get the bill (including raising from the table to chase the waiter). Overall, not a bad experience, but honestly a bit below the level I expect for a wedding anniversary in a Michelin restaurant.
