Food was amazing and the service was wonderful. Great selection of beer, wine and schnapps. Much more authentic and higher quality overall than the more run of the mill German restaurants around.

The bretzel and soup were very good, but the schnitzel was really very poor. Instead of the typical thin Viennese style serving, both thr chicken and veal were thick offering. The veal was a wrap around with the bread crumbs undercooked in the "fold" - not a pleasant experience. The potato salad was not well cooked and inedible. The most disappointing issue was the "automatic charge" of a tip of well over 10% of the total bill. I have questioned this practice and hope to get my money reimbursed - this is poor practice. A warning for others - check your bill carefully, else you may find a surprise. I doubt I'll be back to this restaurant unless they make amends.

After having harassed my staff yesterday, waking me up early with your concerns this morning, and after reading your very disrespectful email I can only repeat what I have told you. No POS system in the word will add more money to your bill than you spend. But upon payment its asking if you want to add tips, which you willingly have done. No staff member can add tips to your bill aside of yourself, which you have done. Also after your disrespectful show in the restaurant, we have reimbursed you the tips immediately (you have received proof of that via email from me). You have had $50.00 off your bill from your discount and got the same good quality food as we serve to every customer. Your review is simply directed to us with the intention to harm our rating, and hence none of your words can be taken serious. Please be at least somewhat honest with your reviews and don't hurt someone with a wrong review. Especially since we have done everything on our end.

A great restaurant with a great choice of Austrian dishes. All the staff were really friendly. The food was delicious and there was a great choice of wines. I especially enjoyed the mulled wine on a cold Melbourne evening.

First time visiting the venue. Great refinement of the schnitzel (had the pork) - delicious! Went at a busy time but was worth the wait for the food.

Friendly helpful waiter. All the meals were delicious. Meat very tender. Generous portions. Open on a Monday, which was a bonus as other similar restaurants were all closed.

Overall, the food was excellent. We ordered one serve of schweins stelze (serves 2), one serve of forelle müllerin (serves 2), one serve of rind suppe plus bone marrow tube and one serve of brussels sprouts with bacon. Both the pork knuckle and the river trout were perfectly cooked. The pork knuckle’s skin was crispy and its flesh was juicy and succulent. The sides which came with the schweins stelze and forelle müllerin were excellent. The parsley potatoes were a standout — crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Overall, the service was good, but a tad slow, because there was only one waiter on duty. One restaurant policy to note -- this restaurant charges $10 per person to eat a cake that you bring to the restaurant. I know this because we brought a birthday cake and asked the waiter if we could eat it at the restaurant. He informed us that the restaurant would charge us $10 per person to eat the cake at the restaurant. Upon hearing that, we chose not to eat the cake at the restaurant.

I came to the restaurant because of the pork knuckle, and it did not make me disappointed, highly recommand this dish and mulled wine. Staff are nice and friendly, must come again.

This was a truly satisfying dining experience. The waiting staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The presentation of the food was great as was the quality of the food. Definitely recommend

Service was excellent for sure. Food wise, portions were a little smaller than expected (and we're by no means big eaters). Our starter, the bretzel was so good. But the mains which we ordered, the bratwurst and pork belly were small portions, with plenty of sauerkraut - which we thought was a little too much. Would appreciate a bigger protein and lesser sides perhaps?

What a gem! Fantastic Austrian cuisine that has been missing from Melbourne's restaurant scene. Friendly and helpful staff was just the start. When the food came out it was like i was transported back to central Europe. I loved every piece of food served up. Thank you very much and yes we will be back.

Fantastic restaurant food was great service was spot on . Cant fault anything it was just like Mum's cooking. I would recommend to everyone wanting Austria food.
