What a wonderful place! So quaint and comfortable with surprisingly delicious dishes and a really fun friendly atmosphere. The wine was delightful, the tapas delicious . The celeriac/apple soup with crunchy almonds and micro greens on top - amazing! And the lamb/pear sandwich was beyond delicious, the lamb soft and melting in your mouth with some freshness from greens, the sweetness of pear, and a light tang from the cheese. Finally, the cheesecake was airy, tangy from the goat cheese, and sweet with the lovely berry coulis and some dehydrated raspberries to top it off all on a crumbly crust. A wonderful tasty experience in the friendliest atmosphere - we felt right at home having never been there before - highly recommend!!!

Un restaurante pequeñito con una carta controlada pero (de lo que probamos) muy efectiva y elaborada. Su taco De San Pedro, gamba y chile, realmente exquisito. El sándwich de carne y pera, muy bueno. Volveremos seguro.

Estaba todo buenísimo y se nota que los productos son de calidad y lo mejor de todo …”encima de bueno tmb barato!!” Salimos muy contentas. Probamos el sándwich y la pluma y era una maravilla.

Great find!! Incredibly creative take on traditional Spanish dishes. Both elevated and “everyday” dishes are served with a proper and unique approach that is both savory and pleasant. The owners/staff are friendly, cordial and the simplicity, coupled with unpretentious refinement make Gato Gato a cool, edgy and heartwarming experience.

Exceptional service- lovely server who explained each dish and also shared Madrid knowledge to make experience truly special. Dishes were unique and a nice twist on the more typical tapas.

Trato impecable con mucha amabilidad y cortesía pero estuvimos 2 horas para comer 3 platos. Muy lenta la salida de la comanda. La comida muy buena, como siempre.

This is a hidden gem of a restaurant in an off-the-beaten-track section of the city. The food is exciting and beautifully executed and a wonderful atmosphere is created by consummate front of house management. When local Madrileños turn up on a chance for a table only to be regretfully turned away because the restaurant is fully-booked with reservations for the night, you know that you have had the luck to hit upon a locally-celebrated dining destination. The owners of Gato Gato fully appreciate that the perfect dining experience is as much about ambience as food and that is what we both had in this wonderful restaurant.

Local pequeño pero acogedor. Camarera muy agradable y servicio rápido. Tanto los platos que sirven como los vinos son inmejorables. No puntuó con 10 porque me he quedado con ganas de probar las Gyozas de callos, asi que volveré!

Very intimate place where you can have a chill dinner tasting typical spanish food. The service is very custumer oriented, given that there are not a lot of tables and the staff can focus on quality. Highly suggested!

Pequeño restaurante que desde la puerta no ten imaginas que se pueda comer tan bien, platos muy bien presentados, buena calidad, el servicio excepcional, muy atenta la camarera. Excelente el tartar de corbina, asi como el pollo guisado, la verdura en tempura perfecta, el sandwich de cordero, diferente pero muy bueno, también buenos postres. Los precios economicos para la calidad que ofrecen. Volveremos sin duda.
