Love this restaurant. Always try to come at least once if I am in Gran canaria. My son and I are only here for 3 nights and are all inclusive in our hotel, but had to take my son to el gaucho as my partner and I love it and I wanted my son to love it too. He had never been to gran canaria.

Booked for our anniversary. We chose the chefs special which was a boneless ribeye for 2. This is finished and carved at your table. The hot coals are then left for you to cook the meat to your liking. The meat was excellent and there was plenty of it. It was served with a tomato, chips and garlic potatoes. To be honest they were a Little strong for me and the chips would have sufficed as there was so much meat. Drinks were OK even though they arrived with the wrong order it was quickly rectified. The desserts were OK but nothing out if rhe ordinary. Total cost for 2 was 80 euros. This was for brrad and dips, the steak for 2, 2 deserts, 2 glasses of wine and a bottle of water. Just be warned the price on the menu is plus tax. All in all a decent restaurant and we would return.

Food was great. Staff and service were horrendous though. 3 times I had to ask for the same one Bottle of Rioja which they still added to the bill (3 times) Then had to fight to have deposit which I previously paid to be removed from the bill. That was another 45 mins wasted. Basically - great food but please challenge every aspect of your bill. Many thanks

It was Christmas Eve we were told we didn’t have a booking but eventually got a table. The food is good apart from the other over cooked vegetables. The service was table waiters running around and shouting at each other.

Realmente nunca hemos comido tan mal pagando tanto, la Carme tenia un sabor raro que no se podía tragar, las patatas igual. Lo poco que comimos fue porque moríamos de hambre, pero sabía a químicos…. Se lo comentamos al camarero y le dió vergüenza , sin embargo, no hubo ningún interés mayor. No lo recomiendo para nada

Food was good when eventually got it,had to wait 30 mins for a menu and pre dinner drink then another 40mins for my starter,the main course was quicker,restaurant very busy and not enough staff
