Very tasteful and high quality food. Staff is professional. Chef's suggestion's menu not available for discount. Which i find a bit dissapointing because the best /creative main dishes are Chef's suggestion's. Still enjoyed it very much and can recommend you not to miss out on this amazing experience! Gavino lives up to it's high standards!

Got charged for water offered by waiter... not sure what that was about. The restaurant had a 35% discount on any rizotto on the menu, we didnt get the discount. Overall, Food was good, service was great.

Great for nice Instagram-Pics, but sadly the taste and also the cooking point of our meat was very disappointing. We wanted to celebrate the last evening of our Madeira-travel at this very well rated restaurant, but ended up leaving early to eat dessert at a different place. To our big disappointment 3 people of our group of four didnt have the best dining experience. My chicken for example was so dry, that I couldnt eat more than 1/3 of it. Also the fries werent fully cooked and also not salted at all. The whole food was very underseasoned for our taste. Only the tuna tataki from the chefs suggestion (not eligable for the 30%-discount) was quite good. Maybe we were just unlucky, but I would not come back.

I had the cod fillet, the fillet was extremely rubber and needed a lot of chewing. I sent it back and they produced the same again

Excellent service; staff are friendly and accommodating. Dishes were beautifully presented but not satisfying. My husband opined that the octopus was tender but the barbecue sauce overpowering; my vegan ravioli were bland; our build-your-own appetizer also lacked punch. This was our third visit in two years: the first time was absolutely amazing--the food had us savoring every bite, but in these last two visits it seemed there was something lacking; I wonder if the chef has changed?

This little restaurant was a great visit. We are pleased to have had the chance before leaving Madeira. Great service and very pleasant atmosphere. The food was good and definitely worth it.

The best Portuguese restaurant I've ever been to! The food was beyond amazing, with unique and beautifully presented dishes. The staff, especially the friendly lady who served us, made us feel comfortable and welcome. Surprisingly low prices. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back!

We were looked after by Pedro, he was a fabulous waiter! The food was luscious and we were talking about dessert all night. Good portion sizes and great value for an interesting selection of food.

I do not recommend. We have been baited by the -30% discount. In fact the only things eligible are the starters, vegetables solo, etc. So, on a 82€ check, only 5€ discount. Waiters don't advise and proudly fight against the advantage.

We had such a fun dinner here. Amazing food, great service and so amazing with my 10 year old. We loved the food but the staff made it special. The candy floss chocolate mousse was out of this world and a great way to finish our meal. It was local food and fantastic. Really special but not that expensive. We will be back.
