10/10A lovely dinner with my family with a wonderful experience. Haki was the server which made our dinner even more special. The food and the dessert was superb compliments to the chef. Everyone should try the symphony at the dessert section which they get a mini version of the dessert so everyone can try everything. Lovely everything. Thank you to all the Gouqi staff for looking after us.

3/10We booked few week ago as a treat for our 10th Wedding anniversary. There was nobody to great us, the restaurant was pretty much empty and eventually we were taken to uncomfortable table. Nobody asked us to take our coats. Since the minute we sit down, we were pushed to order, we were even told that 'kitchen is closing soon so we have to order as soon as possible and that all the food will arrive together'. Since 13:40 when we sat down till 14'45 we were asked if we are ready about 6times. We eventually ordered and the food started arriving, it was all ok. The dumplings were nice, nothing special or memorable. The rice and the vegetables dish we ordered to have together with our roast meats was cold by the time the roasted meats hit the table. The char siu pork was dry, the crispy belly was tough and chewy. The worst was the pudding, the cake was old, smelled of fridge and it was basically inedible. The bill came to over £300. Overall it was one of the poorest dining experiences I had in London - the food, the service and the ambiance it was all wrong.

2.5/10Honestly such a let down. All dim sum dishes were luke warm on arrival. Our char Siu dish was terrible and did not take like char Siu at all, and used an entirely wrong cut of pork. Service was okay to begin with but then there was no checking up to ask us how anything was. We didn’t even get a chance to give our feedback. The cocktails were nice tho. Definitely not worth it at this price point and in now way “fine dining” Chinese in quality or service - you’d get a better meal in china town

10/10We visited Gouqi for our 20th wedding anniversary. The food was amazing and the staff were simply brilliant too. Very attentive in the right measure and we were made to feel very important to them. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, it really was a jewel in what is normally quite a tourist trap area.

7/10I felt Hakkasan was more to my liking even though the duck salad and Peking duck were both agreeable and the staff were on pointe. I will however return to further sample the menu during dinner service.

10/10Excellent cavier roast duck. That one is a must try! Great service and drinks as well. Extremely amicable staff and excellent fixtures. It’s a new place so don’t follow google for directions. Just search for 25 Cockspur Street. It would most definitely have at least one if not two Michelin stars in the near future
